Well, seeing as we are starting to take over the

"Offical HOP "I just learnt a new move" thread", I thought we should contain this bit just to jugglerisng and the throwing and dropping of balls, clubs, rings and other miscellaneous juggling props.

Today I mothered learning 441.

I had a few throws of 531 but only 1 catch. I think my 5 is too high.

Note for the mods: I DEMAND on behalf of the jugglers on this site, as has been done with the aforementioned "Poi moves thread", that this one is made a sticky thread.

Otherwise its just favouritism really....

Is awesome. Took me about two days to get 30 catches consistently.

I should do a juggling vid some time. Hmmm....

It is one of those odd things (like poi and unicycling) that clicks and after a while progress is much quicker.

Why not? Have not really got much to show, but may be able to get something together. smile

Probably consist of many, many balls on the floor. tongue2

(I recently got about 16 sets of weighted tennis balls for workshops. The fact that I can only juggle four balls and have in excess of 40 is worrying...

Brill. Although I can't volunteer to edit it as I only have my work PC. I can film a few bits and mail a miniDV cassette to anyone who could fit the bits together though?

Anyone else want to get in on the action?

Would be happy to edit it, but do not have much of a set up for that. Really need to get a decent camera.

Trip/Mike: Can you edit something maybe?

Haha yeah it is a bit knotty! I've been trying to isolate it so that the balls stay fairly central and the body alternates from being on one side of the pattern to the other. Keeps the flight path of the original while adding some funky footwork potential smile I'm miles off getting it looking good yet though.

I'll start messing about getting some footage then while we figure out an editor

22 catches of 5 clubs cleeeeeeeeean.

I think drilling 5551, 552, 5551552 and six catches of the 5 cascade over and over again really helped.

It's going to be a long road to the big 100.

Edit: wait, what's this about a video? I'm too busy not finding anywhere to live in london before my first term of circus space starts to take on an editing role or really to think of anything worth filming for such a video.

Anyone got a place near old street? Hahaha.

Awesome, theme is 'spinnings for losers', I was going to try for a load of poi-style juggling moves but anything people fancy really. Help with the editing would be mint grin

I didn't manage to get anything filmed this week, I was busy having fun at Unity Day, but I'm heading up to the lakes this coming weekend so should be able to get some nice shots there.

Oooo, anyone contributing, could we have a silly shot of your face for the names bit, and maybe a bit of you spinning (to show we're not really haters) smile

Weird, I'm learning that too right now Point Blank... it would help me more if my 4 club was solid though lol.

Also, I got my second flash of 5 clubs this weekend, a few good runs of 4 clubs and uh.... Yeah.

That is all.

Been practicing my contact and can now do the following with varying degrees of success

Angel rolls (lovely move with a single club)
behind the back entry and exit to halos (can be done with 3 clubs but you need to catch the contact club using the other 2 pincer style)
Continuous conveyor / conveyor halo - best so far is round twice grin
I knew spending 4 years learning staff would have juggling bonuses.

and best of all ran 60 catches with 5 balls (been very lax with my 5 ball practice lately and to get that in my first session for over a month was definite boon)

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.
