Hiya, I dont seem to be making it up to london v much any more, so I was wondering if you would be so kind as to drop me a line when the clapham meet is going to be starting up again.
Also, I have a couple of connections within the bbc. I have recently been talking to them about accessing some equipment to film some fire spinning. Innitially they are interested. So, what I would like to know is, if anybody would be interested in coming down to kent to do some fire in an abandoned w/house, filmed by a couple of bbc cameramen, edited by them. I would be further editting my own version for a multimedia portfolio that I am working on to try & promote myself into some work. What you want to do with your own copies would, of course be entirely up to you. If they come away with enough decent footage it could possibly end up being shown on tv. I would be most grateful if you could post this info on your site, along with my other e-mail address to see what sort of response we get. Then, when I next have a meeting with these guys I can put it to them that it is going to be a worthwhile venture.
Thanks very much for taking the time to read this mail & I look forward to hearing from you.

I live in Kent!

So do many others!

And some of these others do spinnerrinerung stuff too!

I shall spread forth the word!

I shall proclaim it from the rooftops!... well, on second thought, maybe a few texts would be a lot less hassle.

Are there any more details?

A warehouse in Kent is a bit vague.... it is full of fields and stuff.......wide open spaces really.

WIll have to see if it clashes with our exams and stuff though.

But this is a provisional yes. biggrin

I've just actually bumped into Steve and he was telling me about this. It sounds really cool. Not sure exactly where in Kent it is, but he was saying it probably won't happen for a while as there will be loads to sort out (ie. everyone's availability, getting the space, and the equipment from the BBC).

But yeah - Mech you should email him and let him know you're interested.

When I hear more info from Steve I'll post it up!

A kiss blown is a kiss wasted, the only kind of kiss is a kiss tasted.

I'm a woman. We don't say what we want, but we reserve the right to be pissed off if we don't get it. That's what makes us so fascinating and not just a LITTLE bit scary.

Sounds like fun! Wonder if it will be of the same calibre as the "alice in wonderland" thing myself, burnt toast and a few others spun for a couple of years ago. ubblol
If it's happening after 1st august and doesn't clash with Burning Man, count me in.
