Focus on combining the moves you know, going smoothly from one to the other.

Aspire to perfection on each move, learn to do it slow and with relaxation.

Download some good videos to get new move ideas and see how they work as part of combinations.

Releases are getting popular and add a new aspect to your spinning.

when u get down to the basics.. itsall about the weave and buttefyl i think, cus its basicly the only combinations of directions u can go, back n back, fwd fwd, fwd n back
so most of it are all variations i'de say and jsut like dave said, once u learn the move, strive for perfection cus u can bust a weave, but a weave isnt a weave if u hit yourself, biggrin
and movies are good inspiration, but try not to copy, when i leanred poi i used the free lesson section, stopped there, only recently ahve i starte dwatching video's
and either way, alot of the stuff in the video's i saw was jsut way to advanced for me to understand juggle wtv jsut keep at it and dont quit like so many lazy ppl do

ill second that advice...

biggrin

just make sure you can turn in any direction from any move. practise turning with the butterfly, and buzzsaws.

try and do all the moves you can do in different postions around youre body.

buzzsaws...

practise going into and out of them from each side backwards and forewards weave.

you can stall (wrap) one poi while doing a buzzsaw and you get a buzzsaw butterfly.

practise going from windmill to buzzsaw, and from buzzsaw to windmill.

do a search for buzzsaw fountain smile it is a lovely move.

you can do buzzsaws horizontally aswell.

have fun playing. hope ive helped

peace

shorten your poi a bit. stick your arms out in front. swing the poi around so it goes between your arms.

if that doesnt help, do a search or pm me and ill explain it better.

Do you mean an inverted weave kind of thing? The one where instead of doing 3bt weave where poi does 1bt on it's own side you make it do 1bt of buzzsaw instead so that neither poi end up on their own side (if you see what I mean confused confused biggrin)

A move I always find a crowd pleaser but is a very easy move.

start doing the btb butterfly and then start bending ur face towards the ground but slowly and the closer you get make the poi go off speed like ur jump roping and the further down you go the more off speed you get. try it out and tell me what you think.
have fun

What do you mean by 'off speed'?
Am I proving myself an idiot my asking this? biggrin

no i worded it weird like have you ever double dutched (jump roping) its like that but you start rotating each poi at a different speed so they go from a butterfly to what lookes like double dutch. if you have any more problems ask me i will check.

I found last night that when doing the corkscrew (or the windmill, I can never remember which is which - whichever one where the poi both go in the same direction) you can add a buzzsaw spin as you come down in front of your face. You need to tip yer body over so the poi go above one arm and under the other.

backwards weave
frwards backwards weave
weird buzzsaw inweave (descrbed above somwhere)
butterfly weave
bacwards thread the needle
many double throws,
lots of butterfly/weave variations
overhead backwards butterfly open 4 beat spin(weird to describe looks amazing)

but i was wondering if anyone has any nice quick moves i can try,

i did try the double dutch move looks kinda funky i use it alot to go in and out of weave/chasing sun/butterfly moves.
