fire is alive. it lives and breathes. it consumes and destroys. but we control it and live with it, we are fire dancers

Clean up everything?

If you have only been spinning for a few months, chances are you can work on perfecting what you do know. There are bound to be little things that can be cleaned up. The advantage is that this can help later.

The other option is to get to see more people. So go to a club or something?

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "Or you wouldn't have come here."

If you feel like you've hit a "plateau" of sorts, then maybe try picking up another skill toy.

I was at a similar point and felt sort of stifled, so i made some double staffs, a meteor, and learned to juggle.

Variety will definitely help you develop more poi skills, and helps you play with different ideas with different toys.

Start messing with stalls and throws, anything to keep it interesting.

best of luck with your plateau!

Well, at a point I hit a small plateau. But I learned different crossers and that opened me up, then again right before I got good at btb and that opened me up again. And a huge opening when I learned utl. All of those and flowers give you massive amounts of things to do.

But also picking up a new skill toy could be the option because maybe poi just isn't your main thing, maybe you're a staffer at heart smile

The only luck is bad luck.

there's always antispin wink

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

Suggestions:

Look around the "Learn" section of this website, there's a massive tutorial library over there, and if you know everything over there, you should be able to find new stuff on your own wink

And learn flowers, they're fun, challenging, and have endless variations smile

Flowers and pendulums and whiskers on kittens are a few of my favorite things...
