Amazing how many of the songs from that movie I can remember ...

whats a gallus?

a cockerel

the Romans also used this word as a name for the inhabitants of Gaul (=Gallia, Gaulois). Think Asterix and Obelix.

Wirewood correctly guessed A Fish Called Wanda and I assumed he was so confident with that the "A race for Gallus gallus" is the next movie to guess...

Ah, just figured out how to do this, it should be Gallus gallus (although an underline would've been correct too) as it's the scientific name for a taxon (i.e. the standard Genus species). Hopefully that should help (try Google... wink ).

Must admit, I prefer Wallace & Gromit (especially the trip to the moon) & Flushed Away but a good mickey-take on The Great Escape anyway.

Ok, I shouldn't actually post a new clue as I'm heading out to do a botanical survey for 2 weeks tomorrow and as there aren't any internet cafes in the middle of BF nowhere I won't be able to confirm the correct answer. So - first person to supply the names of 3 (preferably classic) NZ films can take my turn smile

See ya in 2 weeks...

The Mutiny of the Bounty is a NZ film??!

the first 3 that come to mind:
This Silent Earth
Goodbye Pork Pie
Smash Palace

We should count the 3 Lord of the Rings movies as NZ movies since they were totally filmed here, Director lives here etc (even tho they were funded from Hollywood).

The "the piano" should also be counted as a NZ-film.
