also i forgot to mention on the way back to launceston after the festival i picked up a hitch hiker, turned our he'd been kicked out of the family car after his brother tried to kill him with a knife. an amusing ride to launceston was had ubblol

haha, i was drunk! and then i was unconscious, then woke up blind drunk and managed to walk about 30m before becoming unconscious again, nothing abnormal about that! ubbangel

believe it or not that night was actually really good, i never felt sick and only had a light hangover and lethargic feeling the next day.

Ah, that'd be because you were drinking cider.. 'Tis good stuff.. Unlike me, who was drinking mainly goon.. 'Tis BAD stuff..!

And YAY for pictures and YAY for Julian.. They got my name wrong in some. Grrr. Oh well.

not long to go now..

the weather is rather fickle.. last time we had perfect weather for the entire training week but it pissed down for the public weekend. and in previous years it's ranged from total-fire-ban-oh-god-i'm-going-to-die-from-the-heat to wow-we're-underwater-now...
during the day it's generally quite hot.. but warm clothes are essential for the evenings.

hope to see plenty of HoPpers there. grin

Hmmm, I'll have to see how my finances are going within the next few months. If they are going anywhere around the not-so-good to great mark, I shall be coming! Hopefully.

Last time it was both- total fire ban AND underwater, I was impressed..
Anyway- have fun, wish I could go again, but there's sort of a planet in the way..

Well that throws a spanner in the works. In that case, I'll put it this way: as soon as I gte my tax return back (ratbag of an accountant takes THREE MONTHS so far!) I'll buy a ticket if they're still there.

Hamamelis, start digging!

danm that sucks.

But regarding your other question it takes around 1.30 hours to get from launceston to the site if i'm remembering correctly. Though they do run buses for festival goers if you areive at the airport at the right time.

Eeep i forgot about this thread!!

Yeah don't feel bad i think i chatted to you for a bit at the black wood training area when you were doing insane double staff stuff, but yeah not really a real introduction. I'm looking forward next year so much because i was quite shy last time.
