concetrate on getting the poi flat behind you, it a lack of confindence thats the problem, you think its going to hit you, so it does. really point your hand backwards and make it spin flat behind you.

you really have to commit, whenever you swing the poi behind your head or back. Once started, you really want to push it out there. If you hesitate or try and pull out of it, then you will hit yourself.

When the poi is behind your head, especially if you're using poi with finger loops, try and have your palm facing the sky. This should mean that firstly, you stick your hand far enough backwards, and secondly that it will be much easier to keep the poi in a vertical plane.

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone can help me with shoulder reels too! Unrelated issue though lol.

I can get my hands to do them individually without any trouble at all.....but as soon as I try to do them together, I hit myself in the head!

Is this just a case of "practice makes perfect"?!

Any help/advice appreciated!

Do a windmill then make it equal time

Good tutorial on that site. pitty they sell such crappy products!

Im trying to get Split Shoulder & Hip Reels, think ive almost got it one way, now for the other.

That barrel role looks interesting aswell

I don't know how to do a windmill otherwise I would!! I'm just atrting out you see, so everything is all shiny and new. Yeah the tutorials are good
