Oh you can get tubs of parrafin at petrol stations for like 5 quid, very handy.

last time we had a meet at platt fields park, near enough as soon as it got dark, the scally population invaded frown

personally, i think we should go for ladybarn park again, as it's near a few bus routes and a train station, plus withington seems to be more around the middle-ish of south manchester ubbrollsmile

havokist is right, the scallies did indeed invade.

ive been flying my kite on there for the last few weeks and its not been too soggy.

i would prefer platt fields cos i live next to it. and its on THE major bus route for south manc.

well wherever is good for me.

so what does everyone think?

id say platt fields. platt fields is a big park, i think it would be nice (and hopefully chav free) to spin amoungst in the gaps between the big trees on the side closer to rusholme. should be some hedge shelter as well from wind.

is this meet tomoro?? what time??

balltung the meet should be on sunday, say 6pm? i cant do saturday. i reckon 6 is when it starts getting dark. i would be happier spinning on the nearest side of rusholme, near that costume museum. less wind, less chance of getting annoyed/mugged/shot by the locals

whos coming?

im away till 6ish on sat, so someone get it sorted! smile

I'm quite happy to do platt fields on sunday as long as no-one minds me rope-dart'ing the scallies.

If there's a potential for scallies I might leave the fire pit at home though. We can always head down to my garden if there's not load of us again. If I can park the car next to where we spin I'll bring the pit. It doesnt have to leave the car if we dont need it.

Time wise - I'd say if we're gonna do sunday about 5'ish.

That should give us enough time to get some practise in the light before having a burn.

5pm by the costume gallery sounds like a plan,

and seye, i won't just endorse the darting of scallies, but will actively participate wink you can also park on Platt Lane (left at the lights outside Hardy's Well, at the far end of the park)

I may bring some friends along to show them what i do when i play with fire.

There's a 24hr Texaco garage in withington that sells paraffin. About 1 min walk from glass bar (from the uni just go straight past glass and keep going. Its on your left before you get to withington shops)

I'll be there - Got some new tricks to test out biggrin
