They look like they'd spin pretty much like sock poi, but with a different handle.

I've currently got some fire poi made from rope, they spin really nicely.
You just have to be careful not to soak them for too long, or the fuel wicks up into the handles.

As a point of interest, people who don't speak english as a first language read this forum and find it very difficult to read posts that include text like this

Typing out words in full instead of using txt abbreviations, as well as running your post through a spell checker before posting it would be fantastic smile

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I have a pair of fire ropes which are fun to spin - by the middle of the burn time, though, the visual effect of the whole rope being on fire has gone out and it's just the heads going round. shrug

I like them, they look like some funky toys. I like your leg thingys, are they just fun fur and some elastic? But thats off topic, sorry. Anyway, my opinion, I think they're nice looking. Considering making a pair maybe.

Don't mind me, just passing through.

Those rope poi shouldn't be that much different to spin than anything else, except that you wouldn't be able to do wraps, hyperloops, etc.
And Bovril Monkey, THANK YOU!!!!

Perfectly legible to you, yes.

Not to lots of other people who find posts like those very difficult to read. It's just common courtesy to type out words in full, it's hardly any extra effort - the letters are all laid out on the keyboard waiting to be used.

Also - have a read through this quote, taken from the forum guidelines/rules page. Emphasis is mine.

Try to keep posts simple and easy to read. Please avoid using simplified English ( eg Nice 2 C U) as it is not understood by all. Do not use all caps ( eg MY SUBJECT IS ) as some individuals see this as shouting. Smilies smile are nice but try not to overuse them. Posts with over 30 graemlins/smilies will have them automatically removed.
