Just shortly ago someone stated the majority of spinners were Anglo... confused

I guess the poll is pointless as this is a predominantly english website... weavesmiley

But I'll put it out anyway, even if I will be accused of Germanism wink biggrin

An·glo also an·glo n. pl. An·glos
Informal.

An Anglo-American.
An English-speaking person, especially a white North American who is not of Hispanic or French descent.

Well I guess we can include Pommies, Ozzies, Kiwis, Yanks and "frozen yanks" in the term... but what the heck are we gonna do with the "french fried yanks"??? tongue

french or french canadian? - or both... I also don't verify whether german, italian, spanish, hispanic.... etc.. Personally I'm only interested, how the background of this predominantly english website would be as if to get some clues about whether or not the statement is true, that english speaking people dominate firespinning on this planet...

anglo, i though, was a shortened form of anglo-saxon, which basically is most of wesern europe, and the countries that those peoples have settled.

Maybe a better one would be 'what continent are you from'?

@MiG - thanks to the short and correct term. Due to your information I was looking up history and could correct my very long lasting misinterpretation of understanding the term "Anglo-Saxons".... smile Thanks for that! YAY for the internet and people who give small little hints! smile

Sure, we can make a new poll - on the way! smile
