I can't seem to find much on the double staff.
The stuff i can find is either too hard or i already know it.

Any tips for gettig outta this rut?

Try "arsing around with sticks" for a while.
It works suprisingly well biggrin

See what horrifically useless and stupid moves you can come up with.
Thats what I do anyway....

heheh, well, i will try that tomorrow but i have tried that a fair bit.

I could try to perfect the moves i already know and maybe link em together.

the body wrap still ties me up a bit

try all your single stick spinning (when constantly holding it in one hand), but with two sticks, keeping them parralellellellellell if you can.

Or watch some videos. preferably www.theworldofsmall.com/MissingInActon-Part1-TheSequel9mb.wmv

Hey Dude - as for talking about the same part....... no,

im talking about the person biggrin

Just watched this vid and that is simian alright, although this video is really not doing the man justice.... his staff spinning knowledge and skill is far superior to this little "mess about" vid.

Influenced by UCOF no doubt - that boy is always messing about wink

As for learning double staff trix - work on parallel stuff, i found to transfer to doubles you need to think more about body movement and rotation more than staff movement and rotation - if that makes sense.

If you want videos on it i suggest you download Knox Doubles / Under the bridge part 1, A tribute to Ben video (not the 2bags version, unless you just want a laugh wink) oh and last but not least strugz and staffs 2 vid - stix and stoned - all from the above given site.

I also think MCP is working on a doubles section for her site so keep a look out.

Good luck!

biggrin

edit- talk about bein way outta line with my first comment, theres plenty of things in between.

Thanks guys biggrin

Yeah, shame the footage from falmouth is a: on a disk of what kind I know not. In a format adobe premier of any kind has yet to accept, and again unknown... frown But then my pants were on display a lot, so it is for the best.

To which i would reply that he hasn't noticed the snake position to shotgun position aysmmetric behind the back pass i do in it. and is probably missing some of the subtleties of the one beats and turning carries.

wink So you heard him... watch it over and over and over and copy everything exactly. tongue

can we talk about the various snaked wrist positions of one beats instead? There's lots, and more when you consider doing a one beat at your shoulder, or 3/4 grip. Or triple spins. And maybe you could consider BTB too...
