hi all!! wave

i think everyone here knows that valura & arsn are gonna have a lil bubba!! ubblove so i thought i'd start a thread for everyone to suggest some names for the lil one!! can be boy or girl names - they don't know which one it is yet!! biggrin and it has to be unusual, beautiful and with meaning! not just some weird name that means nothing!!! biggrin

here's a few to kick it off...

girlies....

macalla (also macala, macalah, mackayla) which is aboriginal...means "full moon"

meiko (meyko) which is japanese, means "flower bud"

mischka (mishka)..russian..."loved one"

alaysieh (alyssa, alaysia, lasine)...arabic..."moon goddess"

zita...spanish..."little rose"

sidra...latin..."starlike"

i know theres only girls names so far...but i only started this thread as i started looking...and it's taking a while!! ubblol

add some!!

do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and good to eat!

if at first you do succeed, try not to look too astonished!

smile! it confuses people!

why not let the child choose its own name by having a selection of toys or other objects bound to attract its atention each one with a name attached which ever one the child plays with first becomes its name. For extra exitement you could have a joke name attached to one object like Doberman or Poppins, just to add tension

Does this site actually exist? Or am i talking to all my other personalities?

Hey beautiful mother-goddess,

Ok, girls names:

Roisin. Pronounced "rosh-een" (or sometimes ro-sheen). It's Irish, and means Little Rose. Beautiful, eh?

Shoshanah (or Shoshanah). Hebrew, translates as both lilly and rose.

And of course, you can't go wrong with the name Lily.

Emaline.

Isabeau. (beau for short)

Isabelle.

Angelica.

Boys' names:

Finn (pretty for a girl as well) but I prefer it for a boy

Silas (kind of sounds like Silence)

Frances

Simeon

Yeah I like Leo too. (Recently, I was staying my best sister in Canberra, and we had a lost ginger kitten come visit us for the whole night. The moon being in leo and all, we just had to nickname him Leo.)

Ethan

Oh and another girls name... Aisling.. Irish, pronounced ash-leen.

oh and have to throw my own cat's name into the mix - Arian, welsh for silver.

and one more boys name: Arawen, also spelled Arawyn. Yes I know it was feminine in LoTR, but it's actually male, and welsh. Kind of sounds like a modern Aaron. In Welsh folklore, Arawen was the king of Annwn, the Otherworld, and his name means "silver-tongued." His power is associated with picking magickal names (!), spirit contact, and strengthening friendships.

Will let you know if I think of any more

Be well beautiful chicken,

~ Jen

(will prob see you next Monday night at Juggle Jam)

Zenon - I new a guy called Zenon at school - he was an arrogant... Besides isn't that a noble gas with the wrong spelling?

How about a good Gelfling name like Kia for a girl or Jen for a boy - I need sleep - its 4:32am - body clock messed up.

As for Drea check out www.geocities.com/sopranos_187/drea.html

Sounds like a nice name but in written form it looks like the word is incomplete.
