a friend of mine was going to teach me to snow board as i have always wanted to do it, unfortuently he's just fractured his leg in 3 places including a rather large spiral fracture and is going to be in plaster for around 13 months(Either 13 or 18 i don't know as when i read his message i was not wearing my glasses)
so i guess i shall have to invest in a mountain board, or some of those mountian surf boards (The ones with huge wheels like a mountain bikes) ubbloco

SCHNEEEEEEEEEEE! biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

Mmmm, I love the snow. I am a total snow monster! Mmmmmmm ubbloveubbloveubblove

It snowed a bit here before, but all day it snowed in Wuppertal, but stopped a bit before I left school. Snowed on the way there though biggrin All the green hills turned to white, and all the trees white, so pretty, and very peaceful!

Unfortunately, everyone in my class hates snow, and the cold!!! While they're all huddling together, shivering, smoking, and complaining about how cold it is, I'm jumping about shouting 'SCNEEEEEEEEEEEE' and trying to eat it (from the air when it's coming down). Hhmmmm.... so nice... so happy smile ubbrollsmile

ohh...Wuppertal? Is that where you live? I remember going there when I was nine with every female relative in my family. They were all older of course and dubbed the place "THE shopping mecca of Germany".

As far as snow, I rarely ever see the stuff, so as long as I don't have to drive through it (no one has ever taught me how, so I probably wouldn't last too long) I can deal with it for a few days. Luckily, it never snows where I live now.

As for Wuppertal being the shopping mecca, I simply raise my eyebrow...

umm

No, there's Europe's largest shopping mall, somewhere else in Germany!!! Me sis and I went to a huge one in Mülheim, a bit north near Essen. Going to Essen on Monday for shopping, actually biggrin no money though, kinda sucks!!

No snow in your area yet stickman?? Poor you frown

hmmm...when I was there, it wasn't like your typical mall (i.e. not all shops inside in one place). This was all outdoors, and it was only open to pedestrian traffic. Maybe it's changed somewhat in 20 years! eek I'm showing my age.

nope, it's the same!! It starts just outside of the hauptbahnhof, and has tons of cool little places, as well as three mall complexes.

OR, hop on the city train over the Wupper river, and go to the walmart superstore. Your choice. smile

Lovely part that is, actually! Can't wait for all the christmas lights to go up, apparently it's gorgous!!

I went out and span doubles in the snow today.

I ended up getting very hot and spinning with no shirt on for about 45 minutes.

much to the amusement of my neighbours in their big fluffy coats and furry hats.

Weird people seemed to think it was cold...

Meh

snow for me too! Mel, i can board biggrin Who's your mate who fractured himself? You'd be lucky to get anyone to teach you that you didn't have to pay for anyway, cos Tamworth won't let you on if you can't board. You have to have passed to the recreational standard.

I'm waiting for my mate to come up form ips so i can board w/ him. I've not been able to board all summer cos i was having surgery on my arm, so it would b the frist time in 9 months!

Boarding's fantastic though, you should learn! smile

We had snow in Cheltenham on Saturday. It was lovely, I was out Christmas shopping with Kayleigh and it started snowing on us. Was just right for the moment and made everything seem that little bit better than it already was.

Snow's great, but it's all melted now. frown Still, maybe that means we're in for some more before the year's out. Here's hoping.
