And remember..... I'm female....

How do you bring shy guys out of their shell?
I'm too nervous that i'm leading people on, or that i'm imposing, or taht peopel hate me or whatever...
but i've found out later sometimes that guys were just shy and really liked me and wanted me to stay around...
a guy i'm interested in now is sort of shy.. he seems to not mind me and all... but i'm sort of nervous around him.. for reasons which i will disclose on pm if you want to know... but anyway he seems to enjoy my company but i'm shy about hitting on him or anything and he is shy in general so....
help?

Luc Besson's La Femme Nikita was bastardised too - but at least the hollywood pillage versiob of it featured Nina Simone tracks!

Kyrian, I've had good results with massage. If you give the fellow backrubs, it will:

a. get him used to you touching him
b. relax him
c. relax you
and
d. offer you a handy opportunity at making a gentle pass that he can gracefully ignore if he so chooses.

In fact, the guy i lived with the longest started out our relationship by giving me a 3-day footrub , and the guy who made the most discreet massage pass i've ever received is the guy i ended up marrying...

if you danse with fire ... that leads me to believe even if you have shy qualities you are not a shy person shy from having a lot o fun o expressing yoself. i only speak from experience being the reserved(um not really) sumwhat(actress) extrovert i am of course shy people will be attracted. you show a quality they want to enhance. so all i have to say cute i know you want to be in love but you need someone who is going to help you shine and not live in the shadows and maybe i'm just having a bad week month year what eva make sure this individual is going to help you shine like the un ashamed no reason to believe so being i'm sure you are what is there to be afraid of right now shy people scare me

wow.... colors i'm sorry but i honestly did not get more than one or two words of that...

ok, so, an update eh? I'm having a much easier time talking to him all of teh sudden, i still get the slightly nervous babble too much thing now and then but mostly it's fine. i feel more comfortable around him- he seems mildly less shy than before, - and - i mean, he's cool. he's awesome, and talking to him i started to feel like he was one of those people taht no matter what we haev a lot of common ground and coudl wind up really good friends.

but

i had to make a decsicion (sp)

i think i had already made it awhile ago, and i think i knew that. I havn't told the whole story, as i mentioned in my first post. i reeally like this guy. and if something develops i'm hardly oen to fight it... he's awesome. but there is another part to the story, like i said, and i don't think i should really go for him right now. too much risk. so, we'll see.

and thanks for the advice btw.... some of it was quite useful when i was first talking to him and still tripping over my own tongue.

loook under 'foreign' for 'la femme nikita' it's directed by the fifth element director so ask for him by the brand you will realise just how many original elements we ripped off essentially identical to the original. 'cept for bridget fonda.
look foreign for condescension.
look condescendingly for road directions.

Kyrian you're already a winner if your his mate! it could be nice if treat the possibly of a relationship as the blossoming of something according to yaself that is already quite beautiful. carpe diem sweetie!

"Nina Simone"!?! *swoon*

Now I am impressed...(bows deeply).

Have you heard her version of Bertolt Brecht's "Pirate Jenny"? Brings a tear to this old socialist's eye everytime. I got all her records, on vinyl...

just an update on the bonk me in the head world...
this totally beautiful woman came up to me last weekend and totally started mackin on me. well, i went with it, but stayed kind of awkward when it got to the phone # time. WHAT AN IDIOT! she was basically telling me she thought i was hot, and wanted to hang out. i'm kicking myself over and over, i want to feel her lips on my eyelids! her eyes are haunting me, much less the totally sexy stuff she was telling me about herself! AAAAAAARGH! shyness sucks! never again! call me, oh fairy godess!!!

Same way you get an oyster out of it's shell. Find the bit that keeps it closed, and cut it out.

In other words take the time to find out what makes the guy shy, and let him know it isn't an issue for you. Just don't be surprised if the oyster metaphor continues wink

You aren't thinking or really existing unless you're willing to risk even your own sanity in the judgment of your existence.

Green peppers, lime pickle and whole-grain mustard = best sandwich filling.
