Hey James wave

Paul Weller was bloody amazing last nite. Blew the roof off the Olympia. He rocks, so he does cool

By the way, I noticed in your intro that you mentioned Mic Christopher. I knew him really well, he was from Clondalkin. Such a talented guy, such a tragedy. Apparently one of his tracks has been used in the latest Guinness commercial, haven't seen it yet though.

Have a good weekend beerchug

No I'm talking about swearing in the non-HOP world (or 'real world' if you will tongue). I don't swear on HOP well, rarely anyway...

Kila's on the 19th baby, is that the day you get in or the day before....c'mon, there's still tickets and there's loooaads of lovely people going....you should come. I'm pretty sure were talking about them before no? confused

What's the story Rob, that sucks man, 10 minutes is pretty bogey, must've been this time last year then too.....hope you didin't have to travel to get there anyway...

Are you still in Kiwi-land at the minute? I watched the second lord of the rings 2 days ago. Can you pick me up one of them Elven cloaks... ubblove apparently they're made out of this special wool from these special sheep that are indigenous to New Zealand....they're fantastic anyway and they make you invisible too... If you can't get one then just bring back a whole sheep instead... cool

Story Lisa...glad you enjoyed it cause Reefer's been going on about it for about 6 months now biggrin . I got a message off her last night saying 'You do something to me'. At this stage I hadn't figured out that she was refering to the Weller song that was on, so I was there....hmmm. I've done something to her or maybe she's ubbidea ..... oh dear trouble's a foot... wink

Did you meet Tina, Gaz and Pat then? They're hilarious.... ubblol
Mic Christopher's deadly, I listen to him every few days.... how did he die? I heard he was mates with Glen Hansard and they used to go buskin together and all.

The Frames on the 18th ubblove I love December....

Frames on the 18th and Kila on the 19th. Oooh lucky, lucky you! Alas I can't make it.

Just had a bit of a weepie and work. I was talking to my sister and just found out that my dog died. Or should I say murdered. Our bastard neighbour had put poison down around his land and the roadside to 'protect' his sheep. So many people have called the RSPCA on that fucker. He has a load of sheep on a scrap of land as you get more grants for more sheep per head. The animals generally break loose to try and forage food off ours and neighbours land (particularly favouring the lawn to my mothers disgust). Those who can't get out usually starve to death and their carcasses left there for days on end. That prick is still at it (he changed the farm to his sons name). Its the second dog of ours who has died do to poisoning, our dogs are farm dogs, as sweet and lovely a dog as Moo you could not find, and she was pregnant with a litter as well ubbcrying

Come faeries, take me out of this dull world, for I would ride with you upon the wind and dance upon the mountains like a flame.

I don't know. I'm so gutted about Moo as are rest of the family, there have been feud between this guy and the rest of the neighbours for years, a few years back his dogs savaged my sisters arm and he refused to have the dogs put down as his kids would have been upset. I started a draft letter to the RSPCA, think I should probably check out what atrocities he has committed myself and maybe take photos before I write to them though. They have been called out loads of times but bastard keeps getting warnings and then continuing being a [censored] to animals.

So thats put a bit of a damper on my Christmas, in the past year both our dogs have died frown Of course I'm still looking forward to the hols though. Just 1 week to go thank god beerchug

Talked with my Mam today and sounds like ISPA are already on his case about his treatment of his animals. Nothing can be done about him killing our dog as he can claim our dog was trespassing on his land.

Anyhow,

Missed Synergy at the weekend as Tia was wrecked and so we stayed in and smoked copious amounts, watched DVDs and relaxed for our last weekend together. Boo hoo! Feel like I'm losing a family member.

Talking of which, looking forward to going home, and promise not to drag you away from your family for too long. As usual, the pub has not been decided. I am going to try and get a late bus home (think there is one at 11) as I want to spend as much time with my family as possible. I should get into the city by 6.30 and then plan to get well into the christmas spirit with plenty of christmas spirits to oil me along : )

Well hope you can join me sometime between 6.30 ~ 10.30 in the city centre for a few drinks. Venue as usual is still to be decided, but I'm trying to see if we can't go to one of the places along Arron Quay, near Smithfield as 'twill be easier for me to get a bus, but Hogans and the Bailey were mentioned. As I will no doubt be bag lady supreme though, I can't see those places working out I'll let you know before the weekend is out what the story is.

How was your weekend - fun & frolics

I really hope to be able to see you but I'm under a wee bit o pressure cause I forgot that it was this friday that my mom was arriving and that's the night I'm going to Kila. She said not to worry but friday and saterday could be a problem. We'll see what we can do though....

This weekend I learnt that gambling isn't for me. I lost 40 euros playing some stooooopid game with my mates.... rolleyes. After being so carefull with money all month mad .... I was just unlucky really, it wasn't poker we were playing, but some mad game with massive accumulative money swings.... I punished myself on saterday and stayed in after that. spank wink

Went to a craft expo in the RDS on sunday which was well groovy though cool

Still not sure what the plan is, Enda is trying to cajole me into staying with him Sat night, a tempting offer. venue in town tbc, but sure, does your mother not enjoy going to the pub, meeting people? You don't have to leave her at home you know! However if you feel 'nooo I can't go out with my ma' or she is not on for the madness of Dublin pubs the weekend before Christmas then don't stress.

This game you lost lots of money on, it wasn't bamboozle was it biggrin

Yep, see how you feel on Saturday and you can join us for a few scoops if you still in the form after Kila and the Frames. I have my Christmas party Thursday, Tia's leaving party on Friday so I'll probably be somewhat sleep deprived, hungover and manic looking myself. I'll text you Enda's no during the week. You still at the same mob. no?

Hee hee. I'll mail you her address again.

I hope your Paddies day was joyous. Mine was pretty cool, the parade was deadly and Kila were.... eek as ever. It was a bit stressfull with my mom being over though cause....well, family issues...you know. ubbcrying

I also found out on Paddies day that I had to be out of my apartment by saterday (3 days notice). We had a 'dispute' with our landlord. That involved him not fixing stuff.....us stopping paying rent and him kicking us out.

This could all have been avoided but my flatmate'd been dealing with it and was in the middle of an ego battle from what I can make out.

It kinda suits me cause I want to go travelling in about 2/3 months so I don't really want to be in a lease right now. So I'm homeless. All my stuff is in a mates dining room piled 5 foot off the floor...

I'm staying with my Aoife and looking at places all the time....but it still kinda sucks not having your own place.

I've just got to deal with handing my notice into work next. I'm torn between staying till this project is complete around June or handing in the notice now and legging it. I have this idea in my head that I owe my company something....I'm not sure what to do really confused

My Paddy's Day was surprisingly quiet! I ditched the pub to go home, finish off some gardening I started teackling, do some coursework and then sat down with Irish coffees and a smoke of 3 to celebrate. Kila would have been fantastic! Nice ubblove

What a bummer about your apartment. Good time for you to decide what will need to go in storage though for when you go travelling. Not so fun trying to find a place for just a couple of months though.

You don't owe your company anything. However it would be nice of you to stay till it is finished, especially if you think you leaving will hinder the project. Have you talked with anyone in your company - your boss? You have nothing to lose my letting them know you are planning on leaving. By letting them know you plan to go travelling and want to hand in your notice, explain situation about your apt but state that you would stay to help if required until the project finishes, you won't be leaving them in the lurch. If they are p**ed off at you they won't be so inclined to give you a glowing reference.
