Yup, I'm still here. Still loving it. Still don't have time for anything else in my life at the moment. I guess I can't be selfish all me life however, and one day, Ill have to go over to the dark side. Nah, not for a long time yet...;)

Relationships aren't much easier in WoW.

A few days ago Murfaz the orc warrior helped Hordespyxd the gnome warlock escape from the Eastern Kingdoms, and now they both live in a house in Ratchet, as either one of them would be killed on sight by the local authorities, if they were seen together in their partner's race's home towns.

For now they're going to be spending large amounts of time apart, as if either one wants a career, they're going to need training, which can only be had at a friendly town. When they are a little more affluent they hope to move to the port of Booty Bay, where Hordespyxd can work in the auction house, but they will still have to commute for their jobs.

Me? I've pretty much given up hope of having any kind of relationship, as I just don't have the kind of lifestyle conducive to one, what with them being dependent on health, career and a social life.

Last week I had an interview with one of the independent doctors hired by social services, and they informed the SS I should have another 2 years on benefits as I'm not capable of supporting myself.

The National Health Service is unwilling to provide any kind of useful help, preferring to push drugs on me to treat my depression, rather than pay for the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that would help me overcome the causes of this (Aperger's Syndrome), and help me make headway towards a more active social life, and in time a career.

The University I applied to decided I wasn't an acceptable candidate, as I didn't have the grades needed, despite the fact I took all my exams before I was diagnosed with a condition that includes learning difficulties, is life long, and from birth. I didn't even get an interview, despite being a mature student who has several years experience of the course subject, and a will to work hard and succeed based on the degree being one of the few things that would turn my life around.

After talking to a solicitor who specialises in it and has said that in this case it has happened, I'm trying to proceed with a complaint of disability discrimination, but I can't afford representation, and my disability doesn't help with organisation of things like this. The advice I got was iffy with the solicitor suggesting I quote from one section of the disability discrimination act, that deals with services, but on checking the DDA myself I found education to be specifically excluded under the services section, and the education part isn't worded as clearly.

So the real world is getting me down, and not letting me be a productive, satisfied part of it, and I've retreated into playing WoW almost full time, as it's a place I can feel I'm being of use to other people, without constantly being reminded of my failings.

I've got 2 accounts so I can boost my own alts, and get some small satisfaction out of having one of the most lethal rogues in battlegrounds.

Outside of this I'm getting more out of the little things, like a nice cup of tea, a cold beer or a tasty meal, and the feeling in the air when it rains.

You aren't thinking or really existing unless you're willing to risk even your own sanity in the judgment of your existence.

Dealing with the issues in order:

Beth: I loves you, but leaving this thread makes you a git regardless hug

Polarity: The admissions board clearly didn't understand that you are, in point of fact, a genius, and as such should be allowed to get any course anywhere. If you are on bennies, then the OU will fund your course, and they took me on, so go far that if all elase fails. Plus, and a big plus in your case, the distance learning might be better for your current state...

But what do I know? I'm a nearly 30 keyboard monkey who still needs cuddles from people who wont be shocked when they wake up to me in the morning smile

hug Duncan!

why do women always say they don't know to simple yes/no questions like would you like to go out one night ?she said we'd talk last sunday , which we did but not about going out . should i ask her again or just leave it ? confused shrug
