to start the ball rolling......

Biking up a massive hill when I was 8 and now it seems tiny but still very steep!!
Playing footie with my mates every day come rain shine or even the dreaded nighttime!
TV - Wak-a-Day
Film - Breakfast Club
Friendship Bracelets
Marmalade Sarnies

Any one remember jamie and the magic torch?
Me and LMSP used to push our beds together and run round and round on top of them, singing the theme to it!

Also I remember flicking alphabet spaghetti around the room,
Our toy poodle Pepe
Stealing Mars bars off my brother's dad's fruit n veg van when he'd pick us up from school,
Racing the dining room chairs,
Pulling down the curtains every morning to play princesses,
dressing my brother up like a girl
Playing with the horses with keith n jonny, keith attempting bareback riding and my bro slappin the horse (wee pony actually) and it galloped away with keith holding on for dear life
looking for tadpoles and johnny bulgies (bulgies pronounced with a hard G not a J - which were cat fish)
crawling under the river bridge and getting scabs on our backs as it was so low and we had to bend
Kicking that roadkill hedgehog and then its jaw fell off
Marie saving a shrew from a cat then bringing it inside only to terrorise it and it had a heart attack frown
tying rosehips on either end of a piece of string and throwing it over the telephone cables outside our house - and making itching powder outta them too
tying worms around a needleless brown christmas tree that was dumped in the garden
Burning plastic bags
making mud/ash pies
decorating our den (under the rose bush)
going down to play by the river at the swing bridge (not an actual bridge - a piece of rope tied to a tree so u could swing across the river)
Playing in the foundations of the new houses when they were being built

general exploring and trespassing forbidden areas

wow!what a brilliant thread-well done dunc!

okay i remember:

*the smell of petrol mixed with mud from when my dad used to take me to motorcross racing as a kid.

*wetting my pants on stage whilst dressed as the sugar plum fairy-aged 6....

*jam sandwiches for lunch....mmmmmmmmmmm.........

*not being able to wait to get out of bed in the morning, the exact opposite of now!

*the goonies

*getting fish and chips with a can of vimto from pearls chippy van every tuesday when she came by our village.

*fighting with my brother, probably over the remote or something stupid, but at the time felt like the worse thing in the world.

*winning a donkey derby at the age of 11,and being extra chuffed because my mum and school teacher had bet money on me winning and i did.

*top cat

*hubba bubba

I didn't listen to much music, but do remember my folks playing Abba
The audio tape of Black Beauty - my parents had it on loop on the cassette player.
Jim'll Fix it

Play School with Floella Benjemin (Let's look through the round window!)
Wurzel Gummage

I remember reading Twinkle magazine, and the Narnia Chronicles.
Playing on pogo sticks, and later a wierd ball in the middle of a plastic disk that you stood on and bounced - and got bad blisters on the insides of your feet.

Falling off.
Eating Jawbreakers and Wham Bars.
