Tried that, failed miserably!!
It won't let me link to any pictures that I have anywhere!!
Tis either an incompatible format or just plain doesn't work!

1) go to the 'My Home' section from the top menu.
2) In the 'Main Configuration' there's a 'Personal information, email, password, etc.' section: click edit.
3) near the bottom, it says 'URL to your picture' this is where you type the address of your picture.
4) don't forget to confirm your password or none of your changes will be saved.
5) press submit.
6) be excellent to each other.
Now i have tried that...and it works.
Try going to www.google.co.uk and clicking images, then search for a picture of something you want, then use the URL form the picture (right click on the picture, click properties, and copy the long bit at the bottom)

ok you have to go to hotavatars.com and select a pic.
then you right click it, go to proprties and then you copy the URL into the HOP profile. its real easy

someone help me please!
i've tried following all of the instructions above, but can seem to get it to work. i've tried using avatars from google, and also avatars.com, yet i only seem to get a blank little box, none of the images i choose are showing up.
what am i doing wrong?
thanx to anyone who can help me out

ok i really like my tongue and all, but i think it would also be very cool to have an animated avatar like flid's. cause i have a short vid of me doing fire and if i can have that as my avatar that would be very cool. anyone know how?

Don't really have anything too good for animation just yet, but might work on it if I knew how to make an animated avatar

no Cass, you don't need a website as long as your picture is uploaded somewhere. But if you can upload it to the HoP picture gallery you can use that. (I think - i'm just writing this post to check if my avatar works)
