You would have to work pretty hard to light kero soaked wicks with that. It would light whitegas though.
I have used them before camping. They don't work without a bit of effort.

There was a thread dealing with this last year sometime. Some people swore by them including, if I'm not mistaken, one of the Mods. Personally, though, I prefer my trusty Zippo. It hasn't failed me yet trough cold and wind and rain and snow.
