Yea and damn does it hurt your nuts when your learning a weave! Self inflicted pain too!

Ultra bright Ultra Effect
"When the description for this item said they were bright they were not kidding! These poi give off a wack of light pumping through 4 cell batteries instead of the usual three. The only worry which isn't large at all is that the bubble wrap they send you is a must to keep on. Poi condoms as my fellow poi swinger called it stops this poi from breaking as it will crack in half if you don't have protection! All in all ultra bright but ultra delicate. Highly recommended!"

Pretty smooth effect poi!
"These are great. They glow blue though not purple but do make a lovely smear effect in the dark. The string is quite strong a not flimsy but is a little bit more tricky for beginners as they are a bit short. All in all these pois are strong and durable and if your worried about buying poi which will break as soon as they connect to each other or the floor then don't be worried!"
