Hello, got a new a fire act forming and as a gimmic in amongst are technical choreography want some fire pom poms anyone made any before, any advice for things to thinks about?

Fire pom poms have never crossed my mind before, but if you're talking about cheerleading pom poms, the first thing that comes to mind is that you should probably figure out some way of shielding your hands and arms from the flames.

This screams accident waiting to happen.

Pom poms work by being a loose bundle of ribbons - fire in there would either be a risk of something else catching or being too large a flame to be near enough to hold / move.

Why not use something like fire fans?

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

Its not often I'll say this but... (deep breath)... I agree with Mynci! wink

Its just too much risk, both to the performers and others. Also, given the massive surface area that the wicks would have, the flames would be almost completely uncontrolable.

Have faith in what you can do and respect for what you can't
