Posted: two things that would make it better: no autofocus, and some background light

Yes, that autofocus thing ruined alot of stuff. I still havn't found out how to turn it off in my camcoder.
As for lights in the background, ill just have to find a better place to spin.
Cheers!

Posted: I'm spinning 'em Salza tube poi. With linkchains, not bulletchains or whatever those things are called. Even with hyperloops I can't stand bulletchains...
Glad you liked the video... My next video might be a bit on the techny side. EDITED_BY: Mireneye (1170261739)

Posted: Nice. The auto focus is a little annoying but the spinning makes up for it. I really like the way you move with your poi, also the speed changes are really effective keep up the good work.

Posted: Since the weaknesses have already been addressed ( with the added bonus I could watch this on full screen without getting pissed off ) I've got to say that your spinning looks great.
Have you considered visiting the HoP shop and treating yourself to a set of cathedral wicks? You''ll be impressed...I know these things.
What's a "firefly move" ??
MireneyeSILVER Member enthusiast 276 posts Location: Sweden
Posted: Thank you very much =)
Well, I don't know if you know the toy known as "Firefly" anyhow it's two handles and a chain they are connected... in the middle of the chain there's some kevlar.. then a "Firefly move" in this sense would be me. connecting the poi heads together and doing typical firefly movements. I just seem to get into them all the time without having a proper control of it, and it's awesome, and fun. Most of the time I can get out of it when I can, but improvising it is alot of fun! ( This came from practicing what to do when failing different moves to make failing look gracious ).
Anyhow... I have tried cathedral wicks before. I never liked the feel of them. So, I decided to buy myself a pair of Isis Poi, they are made the same way as an Isis staff. Makes for gigantic flame, somewhat heavy 200g each, without beeing soaked in kerosene. There's an image on my blog: https://poilaroid.blogspot.com/
It's a bit sad, my last fireshow, which had some awesome moments ( partially because of the choreographed bits ) was filmed so poorly. I will try to salvage it tho =)

Posted: Haha, yeah, it's truly terrible.
Except for ( again camera problems ) the angle of the camera, it's pretty solid spinning I think tho... It's such a shame, aww.
I will make up for it, I promise =)

This has fire, it has some nice editing. And excellently filmed! ( good camera ).

Posted: The autofocus is redeemed in this new video ( Look at first post ). However i got some tiny problem with the whitebalance and lights in the "scene" instead... And here I wanted that dramatic/red effect all the way through!

'vortex' was the shout that went up last year and the year before( i think) whenever anyone did a 'move' which involved getting tangled and pretending you meant it
