hmmm... there a couple of threads with mp3 player problems, and you might have to give some more details anyway in order to get this solved... or ask creative support...?

& check the battery is fully charged? maybe it didn't charge the last time you put it on...

if it makes no sense that's because it's NOn-sense.

Here's the mp3 thread that NoN was talking about... it mostly about ipod's - but there is some info on Creative's too. [Old link]

How long have you had your Zen Micro? Mine stopped working after a couple of weeks, and did the same as yours - it wouldn't turn on at all. The firmware was fooked, and I had to get a replacement - my new one has been working fine ever since biggrin

Here's a link that might be useful.
Creative's "what to do if your mp3 player doesn't work" page...

Good luck - hope you get it working again soon.

thanks for elaborating Helz biggrin i shall remember not to try and post supposedly useful information whilst in a zombie state straight after getting back from bristol...

if it is the firmware and you can still your computer recognises the player you can download new firmware from the creative site also.

and dunc, i finally discovered after my mp3 player saga, zen micro photo doesn't have a reset switch, you have to take the battery out, and hold the on switch as you put it back in.

Word.

But it's all about phone/mp3 players now though, innit?

The existance of flamethrowers says that someone, somewhere, at sometime said "I need to set that thing on fire, but it's too far away."

I've got the Creative Zen photo sleek, and it keeps doing lots of strange stuff too, freezing after I load new music on it etc, have to wait for the battery to run down then charge it and turn it on. Your battery is charged right?

I like the machine but it is unreliable, I've got insurance on this one (it's the second replacement I've had) so if it goes wrong too many times I can get a new one.

I hope you can fix it.
