Ok, so the deal is, weekend meet, along the Wales/England border.
Dates: 29th Sept-1st October
Location: Court Farm Campsite , Llanthony, nr. Abergavenny for a minimal fee of £2 per person per night. 4 quid!! Two pubs within walking distance and a really old priory... Court farm have said they will cordon off half the campsite for camping and spinning, but no bonfires sorry!
All other information can be found on the wiki including a list of attendees definately and maybe, please add your name as soon as possible if you're coming because i need to let the campsite know!
Wiki is at borderpatrol.wikispaces.com. And contains also a space for arranging lifts. The nearest train station is Abergavenny and it's 15mins drive, so if you come by train at all, please put it on there, you WILL need a lift!
if anyone is coming by train, can you please please please let me know beforehand what time roughly you will arrive in abergavenny, because i am less than convinced that my phone will work!

its only 25 mins from me so even if i cant come for all three days i can at least manage one lol. no idea what i'll be doing by then, so will have to fill u in when i know myself! but whatever you decide, then just go for it - we'll try n work around you ; )

ok, since 3 people said yes, i am officially setting the date as the weekend 30th Sept/1st October.... hopefully that will give everyone enough time to plan and organise time off work, buggleberry fairy, not mentioning any names
will contact the campsite this week and see what they have to say about it...

wow. cripes. ok, better find a venue then hadn't i really? then at least you'd all know where you're going! I figured i'd get a few from around the area, possibly from as far away shropshire, or devon at a stretch, but now there is even a edinburghian (potentially) on board!!
If i can get us to Llanthony though, we may have to sacrifice the bonfire... countryside code and all that, but will ask them very very nicely about fire spinning and hope for the best.... I'll get my act together, check back here for updates... intro post will be updated also to include definate dates, which is the END of Sept!

hi there just looking for another fest after play and saw this as its round my area i hope u dont mind if i hope along with a couple of people from the local circus group... if ur looking for somewere to camp we hold mayday fest at the top of mayhill i dont know if any of u know it but if u talk to the farmer he might let it happen up there... another option is the forest of dean theres loads of campsites down that way....

mike everyone's welcome, just so you know though this won't be on the Play scale of thing (i hope) else i'll need to find a village with a bigger pub.... Thanks also for potential camping space contact, keep 'em coming if anyone has some ideas

good! i was just having a slight panic that loads of people whould turn up to the location i haven't found yet. Forest of Dean was another serious contender, i've been there a fair few times as well but can't remember any sites that would be good, so any suggestions would be grand! I still haven;t actually contacted llanthony yet because i've been busy and forgot, but i will do asap, so at least then i will know if i need to keep looking, although it might be useful to have a backup option also... looking at the wonderful weather right now and wondering if it would be better somewhere with a larger drier pub anyway, or a hall or something....

don't know if this is helpful (and llantony sounds fab as would be a lush background for spinning in) but i found a place in crasswall, herefordshire. its a pub that basically owns a field. this is the website. more expensive than llantony (by £3 - and thats per tent) but could be a back up plan.
