Oh dear,... the number of suggested threads that came up due to the word "stick" ubblol

anyway, daddykins recently asked me to do soemthing for him and his work.

He gave me a usb stick and said that they werent allowed to connect it to their computers (Govenment man has come from the Government). He asked me to find out what was on it for them.

Easy I thought!

I plugged it in but now its asking for a driver. I tried asking it to automatically install it, but it said it couldnt.

The device was recognised as "ePlus1000" and it is a green USB stick. wink

I have googled for "ePlus1000" but all that comes up are Korean sites and I cant read Korean. shrug

I have downloaded a generic Win98 USB driver program, but am unable to check to see if that works until I return home tonight.

Would someone be able to have a dig around for me and see what they find please?
Oh go on... smile

From me. hug2

mmm, ok then. Are your ports USB 2? You could try a different port as that sometimes fixes things.

I'll PM you a link to what I think is a driver, but I'm not sure. If that doesn't work you could just add the driver manually by going to device manager and selecting a generic driver.

USB 2 indeedy.

Didnt try differnt port, I was thinking, if its not going to have the drivers on this port, why would it have the drivers on another port? umm

Cheers for the link, will let you know how I get on tonight.
Only 2hrs 10mins before I can go home....

Apologies on my part.

That name was epass 1000 and not eplus 1000 redface

More info: Its actually the ePass2000..

More info here: https://www.rockey.com.my/prod_epass.htm#How%20do%20I%20start

More: https://www.rs-computer.com/hardware_e/usb-security-token/epass-usb-token.php

I dont seem to even be able to find how to use it frown

"my computer" isnt recognising it....

Downloads: https://www.rs-computer.com/service_e/driver.php?driver=epass

I see.. so its not a storage device... its used for verification...

I had to download a driver for my USB stick but I just did it from the company that made the USB stick's website.

Best of luck hacking the government access key hardware.
