Original post:

Hi there,

I have finally gotten around to putting a copy of the Guinness World Record segment on the Androgen Website. This segment was shown on the Australian Guinness World Record Show on Channel Seven in July 2005 and shows a the then existing record of 4.1 metres being broken. The segment was filmed in Sydney, Australia.

Sorry for the lowish quality, but it is a fairly long video and I tried to keep it at a reasonable size for people to download.

Click here to view the video, or it can be found at the Androgen Website.

The video just under 10Mb in size.

thanks

Thanks =)

I use Shellsol T/Pegasol/Firewater/Firesol for breathing, depending on which city I'm in and who has decanted it into which container to resell it

I asked them not to say what I used though, just because I don't want kids going out with a fuel shopping list based on what they heard I use. I find it's better to just talk about it as something they probably can't obtain.

Hey,

This was filmed in June 2005. As best I know I am still current ... still listed on the GWR website and stuff. Haven't heard of any other attempts but I would actually welcome it.

Either way I am headed back down sometime in March/April to try and break my own record. I still have a little bit up my sleeve so hopefully that will all go well =) I think I saw a video somewhere of you guys setting the group record too.

...wow.

That's amazing, I've seen many a people do firebreathing, but not nearly as large-scale as that.

You, good sir, rock. Officially, even! ^_^

Hehe ... thanks ... I do love the pants =)

The record is still in the book but you are close to the mark. There used to be a record for the duration of the breathe (timewise), but that one has been removed due to liability and safety issues. I think there may have been one other fire breathing type category that was also taken out but I can't think of it off the top of my head.

But yes, still in the book. The person who held the record before me is in the 2006 edition with a photo and short blurb (I broke the record just after the 2006 book went to print). They tell me I should be in the 2007 book, unless someone topples me before about June =)

Uh, yeah... Id say it's definitely a bad idea to put methyl ester in your mouth. I bet a green breath of fire would look totally cool, but you wont be able to see it if you're blind. Personally, I think you're crazy for putting anything but paraffin or lamp oil in your mouth. An extra few feet of flame isn't worth your life.

Let's turn those old bridges we crossed into ashes.
We'll blaze a new trail,
and torch the rough patches.

Was the other category body-burning? Because that has been stopped at about two minutes IIRC...
