Third time trying to post this. Just found the Yo Stick at https://www.extremespin.com/skilltoys.html
check out the vid. Maybe its a fad like astro jax maybe its actually something really cool. anyone had any experience wih em?

I just saw a commercial for these. They look pretty cool, almost like a spinable floating cane. At around 20 bucks Ill probably buy one to check it out. Perhaps Ill try and figure a way to set em on fire

I'd say, as-is it's a fad. However, it would probably make a fun glow-toy for glowstring/sticking kinda moves. Someone could probably make a similar toy with LED lighting. I think to set them on fire you'd probably need the sticks bigger, and the added weight would probably be prohibitive.

While a PLAY festival, I saw robnunchuks/ninjarob using what he called bungee 'Chuks. They were essentially Nunchaku with a bungee cord attached that you could use in pretty much the same way as that yo stick.
It looked pretty cool, but also rather dangerous.

Steve Cousins does a full sized staff almost like that, he has a string or something in the middle and he does crazy tricks with it. Check out his self titled video, about 3 mins in he messes about for abouta minute with one.

Hmmm... I've actually seen someone use something like this at a dance music festival when they're performing on stage. They spun it like a staff and then could throw it and rotate it round their body whilst the staff itself was rotating etc...looked impressive, but at that point, anything was impressive to me

i think a few people have been playing around with similar thing using full length staffs with bungee attached - looked fun but lethal

Hmmm. sounds interesting. Are these full lenght staves anything like the ones at https://www.flowtoys.com/
? Are they used in the same style as the yo stick? and most importantly of all, how do i make one. Just stick some string on some pcv and attact straps at the end? Thanks for any help.

Indeed. He does it on stilts none the less. He's badass. I held the stick for about a second and almost killed myself and half of Edinburgh.

there's a guy called jonathan from brighton who kicks arse at bungee staff - understandable as he's been doing it for a long time now.
he uses mainly aerotech as far as i know and spent a ages learning how these mental things worked before performing with them.
he also spins on stilts

they're great fun
and easy to make too.
get a bungee, and a staff, make sure they're well attached to each other, make a wrist loop in the bungee, and go!
