yo, stand up and be included in the slide show we're putting together to send the New York Fire Department, saluting NYC and the 343 firefighters, other guardians of the flame, who died in 28 minutes there after NYFD only lost 750 in the line of duty in something like 250 YEARS before. post your name, city, and any dedication you want to include, and send us a pic of yourself, whether performing fire or not - post it up here, or e-mail it to us at OrangeFire411@yahoo.com
we're honoring the tragedy and also giving thanks for surviving without further serious incident this year, and growing stronger together in national unity, goodwill, and love.
did you or your group have a burn on or near 9-11? let us know and you will be mentioned too.
stand up and rep the fire arts family to America.

Posted: Here's what was read of all of you who are standing with us, so far, during the tribute here on 9.12:
“Tonight at Phoenix Burn, OrangeFire gathers fire arts performers from across Southern California, our small tribe of lovers of flame. But standing with us in the great tribute we are making to our nation, out of our role as special guardians of the fire, are many others across America and overseas. Let me speak their names, to complete the circle of people who are specifically here at Phoenix Burn.
VAPERLOC is spinning with us in Fort Worth, Texas, and says " awww man ya'll almost made me cry, i want to be a part of Phoenix Burn. props to all involved, and to Fort Worth Firehouse #1."
MASTA RAVA BREAKA is spinning glowsticks with us in West Virginia.
BRODY, JEDI WHITE, AND WRAP MASTER FUNK in Stillwater, Oklahoma with the other Members of WILDFIRE OKLAHOMA "wish to offer our support and best wishes to the Phoenix Burn. We ourselves have seen terror and what it does to friends and family of those hurt or killed, so we know at least on some level what you're going through. May your burn be an event that everyone remembers, and may it uplift and inspire everyone watching."
MIKE GINNY in Ann Arbor, Michigan says, "My support to you Burners. I don't think I'll have anyone to spin with, and I don't think that spinning alone would be a good way to commemorate this day."
ORANGEFIRE member RAYMUND PHULE of San Diego is serving in our country's armed forces in Japan tonight. Ray says, "I for one would feel honored if you would at least burn one for all of us military folks who are over seas and away from their families and to also burn for those in the rear, they are what keep the front alive.
If you don’t wish to burn one for the lost lives of Sep 11, burn in support of the guys and gals out trying to make a difference, you dot have to burn for the cause if you are against it, but burn for the people."
ORANGEFIRE member NYX of CONNECTICUT is spinning with us at the same time, and says, "we can be connected via positive energy flow," and seconds Ray's dedication to Americans working tonight for our safety, peace, and good relations with people everywhere.
[If not present:] ORANGEFIRE members, the team of pozee & Wink in Oceanside, United States Marines, are standing with us in spirit.
ORANGEFIRE member GRIM in Anaheim is standing with us in spirit.
ORANGEFIRE member FIREMIKE in Laguna Hills is standing with us in spirit, and says “burn one for my sister Ursula Wing & her room-mate, who live in NYC and only missed their appointments that day in the World Trade Center and next door to it, because they overslept after getting back from Burning Man 2001. 9-11 totally shook them up, and like most New Yorkers, they have only begun to recover a year later, still living it every day.”
ROZIE in Sydney, Australia, DOM in London, United Kingdom, CAGE in Detroit, Michigan, and ORANGEFIRE member KYRIAN in Connecticut, have been stand with us in spirit for two weeks, giving us their best ideas and support for Phoenix Burn.
MASTER SODIUM and his troupe in Carson, City, Nevada, burned last night on 9-11 itself, and are standing with us in spirit tonight.
KITTIE and THE BLAZED CREW are burning in Portland, Oregon with us tonight.
NYC, veteran Home of Poi member 555, and all our pyro family in New York, tonight WE STAND IN SPIRIT WITH YOU.”

posted 12 September 2002 19:32 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hey, know ya'll are being heard, and collected. i'm not medically cleared, so i too will be among you who are mentioned as standing at Phoenix Burn in spirit tonight. Anne Marie Lambert of Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, will conduct the dedication.
[~ Fire Mike, 2nd US adult petrochemical pneumonia case in known recent medical history, from fire-breathing or any other cause. my exceptional pulmonary specialist, Dr. Val Fernandes, says Pele's, the first case, was "invaluable" in treating mine, fortunately much milder than hers, though we are watching out against further systemic shutdown. i was released this afternoon to use bronchodialator at home, luckily the breathing exercises in which i've trained are the key to 4 times a day tunnelling through the swamp and two distinctive glowing spheres, one in each lung, from the extensive cat scans.]
we may likely have a bagpiper or two, & have later than may be feasible made a little approach to major media, though we may not yet be organized enough with enough peeps & skills to get first-round attention this time; we dedicate ourselves to growing within our region so that in future we can do a better job of representing your goodwill, skills & fire too.
please continue your additions in the coming week or two.
great love, and here's to a fine American & global year of increasing, substantive peace. here's to all of you who stand with us in serious matters of our people in our special role as pyros in the world.
