Well, seeing as we are starting to take over the
"Offical HOP "I just learnt a new move" thread", I thought we should contain this bit just to jugglerisng and the throwing and dropping of balls, clubs, rings and other miscellaneous juggling props.
Today I mothered learning 441.
I had a few throws of 531 but only 1 catch. I think my 5 is too high.
Note for the mods: I DEMAND on behalf of the jugglers on this site, as has been done with the aforementioned "Poi moves thread", that this one is made a sticky thread.
Otherwise its just favouritism really....

I think I can juggle (4x,4x)(4x,4x) switching each beat between sync'd and a-sync.
but as I've already abley demonstrated I don't really have a clue about juggling

a hand level change would work fine - either catching high or throwing low with one hand
the second thing you said is horrible to try and describe using siteswap.
it leads onto polyrhythm juggling which is a nightmare to keep clean.

Been doing some bouncing
Finally
managed to work out 5b lift bounce into force bounce and kind of back
from 5b cascade into double bounce (force)
and 97531 in 5b lift (975 lift, 3 force)

that's exactly what i said tim (without explaining why or how of course)...
if your throws are sync, your catches will be slightly off sync and vice versa.
you have to adjust dwell time for that.
if you had uniform dwell time then *neither* your catches or your throws could be sync.

According to some, the rule for saying you can officially juggle n number of objects is 2n catches. Therefore yes, you can juggle 5 clubs.

qualification gets much more interesting when you start talking about patterns rather than just base patterns.
e.g. how many catches would constitute a qualifying run of 7531 mills?

otherwise you would have 'qualified' the pattern without running the pattern all the way through even once - which kind of defeats the point of 'qualification'.

Yesterday I was teaching my left hand to not be so awkward, I was practised -
5b half shower, left hand throwing over the top.
5b starting with left hand throwing first.
645 with my left hand, teaching it throw on the outside felt awkward.

i reckon you could qualify 753144 mills will (which would need 12 catches as opposed to the 24 7531 mills requires).
now try this silly one on for size: "how many catches do you need to get to qualify 1 ball mills?".
as for your question, 741561 has 6 numbers so you'd be doing 741 on one side of the mills hand pattern and 561 on the other side so i'd say you'd have to make 12 catches to qualify that pattern
notice that to qualify 741561 mills it takes *less* throws than it does to qualify 7531 mills - half the amount!

Also... I just made up this crappy 3 ball move. It's sort of like a reverse burkes barrage (if that's even a move). Sorry I can't explain it any better. Anyone know if this has a name or even what I'm talking about?

I agree with cole mills is a 6 beat pattern (both sides) 7531 is a 4 beat pattern as the highest common factor of 4 and 6 is 12, 7531mills is 12 beats pattern i.e. one rev is 12 throwns
p.s. 97531 is 10 beats for both sides so it's only a flash

I was trying to get some 7b stuff working last night, with limited success. I've been trying 7b gatto's multiplex recently, is hard. 966 is difficult. half shower getting there (slowly) but i was really trying to get a sextuplex - two triplexes going thru each other and back into 7b. Hoipefully i'll get it before I leave this country!
