What I would like from you please is just one piece of advice.
It can be on any subject you choose,
serious or fun.
Poi, staff and juggling or life, love and happiness.

Here is my request from everyone on HOP, especially every single one of you lovely HOPpers that I've ever met.

I know that this is very difficult as I've been scratching my head trying to answer it for a week,so.

Big Thankyou

Drew

i read this in a tom robbins book (sorry i dont remember which one:))

there is a "primitive" culture that anthropoligsts have infiltrated where the word for "breathe" is the same as the word for "poem"

treat every breathe like it was a little poem.

excuse me, santa, have you seen half a bike?

This is one of the best threads I've seen, thanks Glass, it really got me thinking, to the point where I had to phone a friend

He suggests:
If a man is stealing from you, he probably is

Then I asked the audience, and they suggested:
Nudity goes far beyond the bounds of physical nakedness

These are a few things I always try to remind myself of when I am down.

- There are people out there who love u.
- Tomorrow is another day.
- It is not the end of the world if u fail an exam/miss an opertunity, there will still be happy things on the other side, and more opertunities/exam resitts.
- life is a learning experience and u will never know everything

Also
- never eat 3 day old chinese even if it does smell/taste ok
- free alcohol is not usually quality beverage
- solitaire is addictive avoid it at all costs
- when planning parties, include a theme it makes it more fun. eg animals, pajama's, porn, life line glam.

thats all I can think of

I don't like living below the tropic of Capricorn..... and now I seem to be in England...... how did I get here???

well, I read a poster on time on a colleague's desk which stated:

"The toes that you step on today might be attached to the legs that hold up the ass that you need to kiss tomorrow" - which seemed to me to be a humourous way of giving good advice.

However, I think that my advice (which is dedicated to my sister who seems to manage this) would be - Don't measure to see how deep the water is, jump in headfirst. You end up hurting your head quite a lot, but the rewards are multiplied tenfold.

Oh - and HUG EVERYONE you can get your arms on!!

HMMM......pieces of advice......hmmm......

....When we can begin with the simplicity of enjoying life, of understanding, of appreciating - then, and only then, can we make a profound difference in our own existence and in the existence around us.

....When every single breath becomes important, when every single moment means something to you, then there is no sorrow or regret. There is just a human being that has been dusted off, and all that exists is clarity.

....If life is to be a dance, then let it be a dance. If it is to be an understanding, then let it be an undertsanding. I cannot ask you to do something that you cannot do. I cannot ask myself to do something that I cannot do. But to accept the joy in life has to be priority. That much I know. That much I understand.

....Everywhere in the world, people turn towards that most magnificent thing. Turn. Accept. Don't be afraid.

.... With all the harshness of the world, there is a great kindness. Do we ever try to understand what that means? The kindness has been expresses in your existence. It is you; it is the gift that you have, the ability to know, the ability to feel.

....Approach knowledge just as yourself, without any excess baggage. Approach it as you are, who you are, without the duality of anything else. There is no duality in knowledge. The experience that knowledge puts you in touch with is an experience that already exists within you. That is how you were created.

erm...thats enough from Dibs me thinks.
Mwa!

Can miles truly separate us from friends? If we want to be with someone we love aren't we already there? If there is someone willing to show, and there is someone willing to see; magic happens. This is whem humans are alive. This is when the wingless fly.

Kyrian, fret not, deary, about the boy!
by what we've all experienced @ HoP, ura lovely sweetie, and from watching my similar friends over the years, all i can say to you right now is that there will come a time in your life when you'll wish your loves came simply, singly, slowly and so black and white. Sometimes my life moves so quickly I dare to wish to return to the blissful naivety. Then I wake up!

Let me share with you what I've been woolgathering about with my thoughts this past week...

My beliefs today are that non-spiritual desire for a person behaves like a pendulum - with the same stroke it can cause great pleasure or.. great suffering. One What good we can do in life, we should, and accept it as it is, since the rest of life is out of our hands. Be Happy in that!

free yourself of the burden of negativity.
Try to uncloud your thoughts with negative emotional bias!
recognise the many tiny-burdens of fear, sadness, grief - allow yourself to perceive that

which they obscure: true happiness!
to uncloud your mind is to find peace.
to find peace is to attain lasting happiness.

to root happiness in the impermanent (friends, family, the material) is to build a house on

sand; you can still feel happiness, but it will cause great suffering in it's fallibility.

to root happiness in inner peace is to find great strength. Because the unclouded perception enables you to truly enjoy life as it is with no constant emotional turmoil.

if these ideas ring true to you, then allow their validity to seep a deep happiness into first your motivations, then your thoughts, then your life! It is indescribable! The internal beauty unleashes an outer beauty that cannot be hidden from others - an easy smile, a grace of life, a happiness in action cannot easily be conceiled. he will join the ranks of people who will see the innate beauty in ya, Kyrian! hot couples come, hot couples go, but IMO the real beauty resides in the elderly couples whose affection outlasted their looks. now THAT is what attractiveness is about. The beauty mags that profit out of making people feel ugly would have you think otherwise, but i say fuk 'em live by yer own rules.

Thrift stores have MAD shit! Don't burden yourself by chasing 'hotness' to gain happiness -

just BE happy!

i sum it up in 4 words:
dun worry be happy!
