I did the conversion, and 95 in Australian currency translates over to about 65 dollars US. Is that about how much it should cost? Would I get a better deal, keeping in mind shipping from Australia to California might be quite hefty.

onewheel: Thank you much, but I was really looking for professionally made poi.

If anyone can suggest any other brands of poi, it'd be appreciated.

Anyone remember how much they sold for in the HoP shop? Or if they'll be selling them again?

$50 US?
I though it was a bit less.
Still no idea on if they'll be selling them again. I should e-mail the shop and ask about that.
How about the battery life on those things?

I'll email the HOP shop... why did they stop selling them? I'd buy a pair, hell, possibly TWO pairs, if it's under 60 bucks.

According to my old order confirmation, they were 45 USD before shipping. The type of batteries they use are extremely cheap if you look in the right places - I got 20 of them for 8.50 USD on Ebay. No idea why they'd stop selling them - I absolutely love mine.

20 for 9 dollars?! Wow, I'm definitely buying some now. I don't care if they're 65 dollars with high shipping, I'll save a fortune on glowsticks.

Their only downfall, really, is that they're somewhat painful when you hit yourself with them. Not anywhere as painful as beaming balls I'd imagine, but in my experience the force is greater than normal fire poi. Just have caution and don't be surprised if bruises pop up on your legs and arms.

Oh, and make sure you push then ends back on securely before twirling them ... although it makes for a fun hunt when it flies off and you can't find the top.

i modded mine with an internal spring and line that holds the top and bottom together. no more hunting, and i got rid of the overly bulky endcap. mine are much better now.

also, to all those who have never used beaming balls, they weigh a ton, ergo hurting is at a maxim.

electroglow hurt less than most lighted poi and are more reliable, interchangable(colors), and durable.

sign a petition to save the electroglow!!!!

Who makes them? Is it possible to buy direct? I'm in dire need of some Electroglos!

How much do they hurt as compared to glowsticks?

I like that policy Malcolm.
I'd love too buy a pair but I'm young and can't order online so until I'm good enough too convince my parents that buying a pair is worth it, I won't have a set.

hey cheeky one, you should rename yourself to helpful one, it's be more accurate
the electroglo poi are reall light and this limits the damage you can self-inflict.

the reality is that you love twirling, i love twirling, and that we must treat all twirling toys with respect.
glow or fire, they possess the ability to give pleasure and deal out pain!

After someone told me that Juggleart sells them, I did find that site, hence me starting a new topic asking about specifics for Electroglo, not where to buy them anymore

Thanks for the link anyways.
