Does anyone know of any events or gatherings that may be coming up in Cornwall?

As far as i remember there is space at high tide.I'm so bored i just spent fifteen minutes looking around this darned internet for the times of high tide to absolutely no avail.

And there's always somewhere free to park wherever you are.

This sounds like a great night planned, ive got a friend interested and we'd love to go but having some problems with working out how to get there and back!

Can sombody please put up some information on how to get there from Falmouth, we can get to truro no problem but having no car cannot get to polzeath. Is there a bus or train? Or does anyone have space for two in a car? happy to pay for some fuel. Hope that someone can help!

thanks

Lux, im not sure at the moment about times but if u can get to truro, then theres a bus to wadebridge (either at ten to 2 or ten to four, gets in wadebridge at 3 or 5) and there should be a bus from wadebridge to polzeath, going through rock etc, theres definitely that bus at around 3 ish, number 524.
I dont think theres a late bus back as cornwall sucks about that kind of thing. So your best bet is either train (from bodmin parkway) or taxi

As for Polzeath at high tide. There is more than enough beach to spin on at high time, its a huuuuuge beach so we'll have no problem with that!

Oh yeah, srry beth I was in a rush.

Would love to attend the meet in october. Just came back from the london (clapham common) meet, that was good, especially at night when 20 people were burning all at once.

Don't know were that beach is , been surfing in fistral and that area, is it anywhere near them?

I think we should brave it. Ive checked the weather forecast everyday over the past week or so and its saying that it should have very little or no rain so it should be ok.
Plus we spin fire! we iz hard! A little rain shouldnt stop us

BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG THANKYOU
To everyone who braved the cold wind (and inevitable rain) to get to Polzeath yesterday, I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did despite the weather( but hey, thats Cornwall for ya!)

It was great to finally meet you all and (try to) put faces to names!

We'll have to do it again, if not soon, when the weather is a bit better!

Thanks gain everyone!

huge thanks as well to jericho/flailboy for giving me a new toy! man my forearms are killing!
birdsanctuary, i never got to meet you, next time maybe?
when (not if!) we have it again, maybe we could do it at porthcurno, the beach next to the minack theatre. its a groovy, quiet little beach with shelter i think. also theres a campsite about 5 mins walk away in treen so we could stay the night

Thanks for a great night, despite the cold and winds i had a good time and learnt something!

Many MANY thanks to Captain Hazzard for the lift and company - it was good to meet you. Hope your girlfriend can come next time and maybe even poi a bit. Looking forward to seeing what you can do with that leathal flail.

It was good to meet the rest of you too and also to see whats possible with poi (a LOT) , and thanks for letting me try out beamers managing to not hit myself with them was a bonus.

Perhaps we should organise a bonfire/BBQ for next time, as being able to stay warmer and eat something hot would be good as its only going to get colder

Looking forward to next time and have more people interested in coming now

lux
