Okay, I've searched a bit, and can't seem too find anything on this, I've heard it a few times, but just what is it? Is it that thingy where you go from a butterfly to having one poi over the oppisite arm and its hanging verticaly?

thats just a stall, a gilly is then threading the kneedle through that poi without it moving. a gilligan is any move where one or both poi do not swing.

try a search, i think this is only thread 3 tho.

did you try using the
search button at the top of the page

you know, if i were to start a thread about gilligans I'd call it something like
"Gilligans" to make it easy to search for in future.

very sturdy mini people

ps.
concept is that
gillies are not stationary;) they spin real slowly was doing the sums on the way home and I reckon its about 1 degree every 4 minutes.

its right at the core of post modernist poi spinning. If you want to know more about that, do a search too.
