Mine Engineer. I will be in charge of the drilling and blasting of the ore-body. Designing the layout and the all that. 300,000 tonne blasts. Hours are long, but the experience is second to none. Can't wait. Was absolutely bricking it when they called up to tell me whether I got the job or not.

What sort of copper-gold deposit is it, porphory? Not really clued up on North African mineral resources, so purely curious here.

It is actually an Iron Oxide Copper Gold Deposit. Mineralization is predominantly hosted by ferromagnesian carbonates. The copper-gold mineralization is hosted primarily within chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite. The deposit extends approximately 600 meters along strike and dips to the southwest at 30º to 40.

I know that you will understand this Aston, I hope. But that is the deposit.

long story short:

I have a typical boring corporate job.

there are some tasks within this job that are so boring it made me start looking for other jobs, a fact I did not hide.

the boss must think I'm worth keeping around because she agreed to let me focus more on other tasks that are more involving and more suited to my skills (it doesn't hurt that I have the third largest knowledge base behind her and my team lead).

today, my boss said she wanted me to go back to doing the boring stuff.

today, I started looking for new jobs.

I don't know if she thought I was bluffing, but all I know is the man ain't keeping me down, no way no how.

played with fire for the first time last night. just one poi, I was doing it alone and just wanted to get a feeling for what it's like to light up.

tonight will be my first real burn... I'm excited

Just a quick ask for help...this weekend, me and my wife are going to be teaching/entertaining some kids aged from 6 to 16 with poi. Giving them certain poi tricks only probably wouldnt work much. Can you please give us some hints for games we can play with them with poi? They probably have never seen poi before..thanks, any help appreciated

Hey stano3b! If I was in your shoes I would probably start off by showing them a mini-performance just so they can see what poi is. After you could go with the teaching part of something simple like a weave or butterfly perhaps? If they don't seem interested I would just turn on some music and let them go at it. I do this with my 2 year old all the time and she loves swinging my sock poi around. She does like to attack my legs with them however so beware. Hope that helps =)
