My god.
Drew told me this morning, and I came on here to see for myself.
My heart goes out to her family and those closest to her... what a tragic waste of a beautiful soul.
I spoke to Ronan (Magie and he went out for a number of years when she stayed in Ireland... they were very close, as she was to many of the Galway firespinners) this morning... he's flying out to be with her family in Spain.
I got to know Magie in Thailand in January, and we spoke again at UberParis... she was a beautiful lady - kind-hearted, funny, full of life... and she was so excited and looking forward to her trip in Yemen.
She got the job to be a tour guide, and was looking forward to the opportunity to experience new things and build up her confidence.
Magie was trained in ballet, but also lived with and learned poi with Ronan... and she was an astounding poi dancer.
When she thought no-one was looking (because she was self-conscious), she would encorporate ballet into poi... and it was breathtaking.
My love and thoughts are with Ronan and her family...
(If it helps any... I've asked my mum to find her and look after her until she finds the place where she needs to be... Mum was good at looking after people... and they'll get along very well...)
