Bristol - Chimaera SpinJam weekly session

Every Tuesday from 8pm till 10.30pm Chimaera will be hosting a spin jam session at The Island (BS1 2PY) in Bristol city centre.

This will be a chance to spin, juggle, play, learn new moves or just meet other spinners. Every other month we will be putting on a cabaret style show for anyone who wants to show off their new routines or just what they have learnt recently.

On the alternate months we hope to put on some sort of band night where we get local bands or DJs to come and play while we spin.

If this takes off we will start running workshops as well.

The space is nice and big with high ceilings and plenty of light.

We will be charging £3 per session to pay for the space.

There is an NCP opposite: Rupert Street, BS1 2PY. It's 24 hour according to NCP. Or one the other side of the Island, Bristol Nelson Street which is on Fairfax Street, BS1 3BB

If you're struggling to find the Island on maps/sat nav etc, look for Bridewell Police station on Nelson Street. It's one and the same.

I know of an indoor venue coming up that has high ceilings, it reminded me a bit of a mini synergy centre. There may be a small charge for hire but potentially the space will be free in return for allowing free entry to locals. The space is going to be developed as a local community centre. If you are interested, let me know and I'll put you in touch with the committee.
