The dates for this years Common Ground are

Friday 3th of October to Monday 6th of October

For those living in states who celebrate Labour Day it falls on the 6th this year - which means an extra day to spend in the beautiful Adelaide hills. W00t

well.. i arrive in adelaide at 9:40am that day.. via japan, london, hong kong and probably some other countries

OK so I had a look at tickets online to snap up some cheapies and it seems weird... Qantas are around $200 each way which seems like a lot... and no direct flights down after 8.30 am! just 4-5 hr flights via Syd or Melb
Do they not release tickets till later in the year or something?

Same with Virgin.. almost no direct flights. One cheapy down at midday. at least a few back. But hell, I hate flying Virgin. All those cheesy jokes, giggly attendants and overpriced kit-kats for lunch. Ugh

$200 each way is average, not good not bad. I think you could wait a while til some specials get released.

I remeber before Virgin when it was Ansett and Qantas...$500+ each way...

Ya the $200 I can accept, given the distance ... but the apparent lack of direct flights is weird... via Syd/Melbs and 5 hrs..

Succumbed to the temptation of a cheapie promo and booked a $129 Bris-Adelaide Virgin flight at 12noon Friday... DJ756. Wanna come along for the ride, Gita and Paul and others...

There must be some other events on that weekend cos a lot of cheap seats are already gone for that day. There was a Masters meetup or something last year wasn't there? I remember seeing some fit looking people at the airport.

I'm a bit unsure this year. I really want to go to CG...But I was also planning on having my 21st on Saturday the 4th.

I will be able to house a small number of people before this event but it will not be as easy for me as in previous years as I now live by myself along way from the hairport.... But horah for CG falling at the end of my uni holidays....

That's awesome Kate - glad to hear that it's going ahead again this year. I am close to booking the Melbourne Juggling Convention venue and am planning to move it one week later (26-28 Sept), so it is just 4 days away from CG! SO if anyone fancies festival-hopping, there will be very little lag-time between these two events! So before you buy your flights, have a think about combining the two!

Wow, CG talk, yay. I am still festival-ing the summer away, am on the east coast at the moment. Got a job working with the boys that light all the trees at east coast doofs and fests.... Its the most awesome crew. Peace y'all, seeya soon

Have your birthday at CG! 'Twould be heaps of fun and that way you don't need to miss CG.

It won't work. The party is going to be pretty big and I am assuming we will all head out afterwards. Dad really wants me to have it on the 4th, and I'm not really a fan of having my birthday event a week before/after my actual birthday
