Help name our kittens! (new photos on page 2!)

what a cute kitten why not call him splodge as he has a little brown splodge on his nose

From my experience I've noticed that it doesn't matter what name you give a cat 'cause they never come when you call them. I assume you'll do the right thing and have it fixed so what about Newt? Or Wix (looks a bit like the wick on my staff but less scruffy). I've just wandered back in after chasing off a cat that was stalking "our" wagtail - the names I gave that cat are unrepeatable (unless I want to be moderated off this board in record time)

I dunno... I'm awful with names.

Gizmo? Toucan? Pelican? Buffalo? Spatula? Pixel? Spade? Rake? Lawnmower? Emma Roid? Guybrush? Norfolk And Good? Nickle? Dada? Cushion? Sphere? Blunt? Fishbone? Snagglepus? Sputnik? Potato? Clipping? Laminate?

Anything that sounds funny when you're standing by your back door - calling for it to come inside.

How about Midnight, couse hes as black as....

If it's already a cat, you could call it "cat". If it's still a kitten, you could call it "kitten" instead. Of course then you might have to change it's name when it is fully grown.

(okay, I admit it, I've got a teddy bear that is called "teddy". At least I don't mix up the names with this system)

oh, wait, you've already got some cats, right? Then you could call this one "the other cat". Yes, I think I'd go with that name.

Give it an identiy crisis and call it dog.

I love Schrödinger And Onyx, and Jasper, and Dog (Mot is rooting for "Woof") and soooo many of the other ones. He's not completely black - i'll put up another piccie later - but if we call him Midnight as joe suggested, we can call the other one Sunny like FireTom said - or vice versa which would actually be more entertaining, call the black one Sunny and the orange one Midnight

yup, the orange one - this one's foster mummy called yesterday to say she has an all red one for us too! I'm going to see them tomorrow, so expect more pictures

Cos he looks like one.. little, black, and very important.

Of course, you know a 4 syllable cat name's going to turn to 640 syllables when you're looking for the cat around dinner time, so you'll have to give it a short name too..

So Apostrophe's going to become:

a) Possy (beats standing at your front door yelling pussy )
b) Appy (neighbours are going to think surely you could have done better than calling your cat Happy.. which you didn't..)
c)Phe, Phephe (A bit.. poodle.. but yeah.. poodle.)
d)Trophy (wot tha?)
e)Puss (what cats all end up being called anyway..)

And and! In the event that the cat does something naughty in the way of peeing say, on your bed- you can 'discover' it with a friend and throw the 'Apostrophe left a punctuation mark' line.
