Not going to Life... too far to travel and they seem uber-disorganised. But Clonakilty is definitely scheduled Good to see you the other week Mr Ronan... and I hope you're doing ok today... Am sending hugs Ohhh... sounds exciting Cameron Have fun... Is anyone going to Play?! Seems like a good crew are heading over - just booked the ferry, so see you there! xx

I'm heading to Play
Haven't spun in a long time though, so going to be uber-unco-ordinated.
And for Squid, who mentioned it ages ago - here's the Dublin Circus Festival lineup. Looking forward to seeing Mr Toons again - such a nice bloke, and still makes me laugh every time. In fact I just watched him on the Late Late show again on Youtube, and it cheered up my rainy day

Hi Clare I'm Pamela i think i'd be considered to be newbie!! I am extremely interested in learning Poi & have practiced a wee bit. I would like to know whether there are any workshops in Dublin as i would be up for a meet. I have been practicing on a friends set of Poi & have almost brain damaged myself a few times!! Ha ha... I would interested to learn some groovy moves

Hi Pamela... welcomes and hellos There's loads of people in Dublin spinning... but they usually meet through one of the many juggling clubs happening in the universities (open to everyone) and the occasional fire jam... Have a look at the opening page of this thread (but the clubs might be suspended til the new term), or have a look at www.emeraldcircus.com. No doubt someone will be along soon Let me know if you're ever up in Belfast too - I hold poi classes and fire gatherings every fortnight Best wishes, happy spinning Clare x

Hi Pamela,
Merrion Square of a Tuesday evening (from around 6ish til the park closes) is the summer time Dublin meet. Sometimes also the Green, by the bandstand, on Sunday afternoons.
Happy spinning,
Helen

Hi Folks,
Just joined up there, another Belfast local!
Complete Beginner here, only just started playing in the last few weeks and I have ordered my 1st poi today.
Just thought some of you might like to know that some guys I know have a small fire session in the Carpark off Tomb Street on a Tuesday night.
There's a modified car meet there every week, and through that I've gotten interested in Poi.
Here are some Pics from Tuesday past Hope its Ok posting these here!!!
Niall.

!!! Wicked Thanks for posting mister And thanks for the PM I've added you to the mailing list, and will let you know about the next fire gathering - please bring your friends!! I've been holding fire gatherings in Crescent Park, Belfast (opposite the old Fly bar in Botannic) every fortnight since 2004. The last one was on Tuesday past, but we'll all be there again in a fortnight (Tuesday 5 August). Hope to see you there Best wishes, Clare
