Cathedrals have ferocious flames on em, and burn for decades, so their good in that regard, but only if you feel comfortable with that...LOL! SHades of Grey how are ye! Yeah those 5 pointed star things are odd, it forces the poi into anti spin, then into a stall and back to normal time...Ive been messing with those "one over the shoulder, one behind the back" stall things you were showing me...Theyre Purdy...Hows the over the head isolation coming ?

In case you missed it on the emeraldcircus mailing list (or on www.emeraldcircus.com)

Coming to a Naas near you:

The first Naas juggling convention in recorded history.
22 & 23rd September

Woohoo!

Fiona is organising.
Naas GAA hall is the venue.

I hear that Naas is very near Dublin, and very easy to get to from just
about anywhere in the country.

It is said that Naas is a satellite town, so the earths' gravity field
is obviously a bit weaker there, and nowhere in the world has 14 balls
been flashed more often than in Naas GAA hall...

Stay tuned to emeraldcircus (and www.emeraldcircus.com) for more
details.

PS
If you think you have to choose between this convention and the Clon
convention, the choice is easy: come to both.
If you're still not sure, I will be holding a two part workshop on how
to choose which juggling convention to go to. Part one will be given in
Naas, part two in Clon.

Now that you mention it I probably should get off my arse and tell ye all a bit about the Clonakilty juggling convention.

CLONAKILTY JUGGLING CONVENTION:

Thursday 27th - Sunday 30th September.
-24 hour hall
-food available on site (so you should be able to juggle/spin for a solid 72 hours before having to leave )
-Darragh's supposed to be organising fancy German jugglers to come over - I've heard rumours of Marco Paoletti and Stephan Sing being interested, as well as super contact staffers Josh and Valerie...we'll have to see.
-fire show
-workshops (I already have stretching circles, hybrids, throws, flowers workshops prepared - anyone have any special requests for other poi workshops? Who else is gonna teach some workshops? Rob? Eimhin? Aidan, Amelie?) Alexander technique, sushi and other workshops of randomness
-sunday games
-Boggle juggling shop
-Camping (Desert House Camping) is available 5 mins walk away and in the past groups of jugglers have rented apartments between large groups of them to keep costs down - search google

So everyone start preparing your workshops ye want to give, and leave requests for workshops here or at http://www.emeraldcircus.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=175]emerald circus

Hope to see ye there
Ronan

We finally confirmed the hall for the Clonakilty Juggling convention and unfortunately we couldn't get the hall for the Thursday so its back to Friday, Saturday and Sunday (28th,29th,30th September) - but it will be 24 hour

So who's teaching some workshops?
Any requests for workshops? What do people want to learn?

I like learning

I want to learn how to stop gravity, and Ghandi to teach it to me.

On a more realistic note, a sushi making workshop by anyone would be pretty amazing,
Or a "The state of your head, let me help you with your dreads...You poor poor hippy" Workshop. poss by Sue ?

or a Workshop on eating with your eyes closed/In the dark/Confined spaces like Gollum, could be fun.

A multitasking workshop, how to rub your stomach and pat your head.

Magic workshop?

I could go on all day, the only problem is finding people to do the workshops.
