Staff Goals for 2007

Practise more.
I've been a bit slack recently. Only discovered a couple of new things in the last couple of months and havent even got those down.

Get to more big meets and actually swap some ideas with other staffers.

Beg/buy/borrow/steal some pixie stix and clean up the flowers I was learning at Ed. really enjoyed that. Then much like Neon I need to learn the contact tricks I know one way, the other way, and start working on transitions and all the crazy endless McTrickery MCP,Strugz Chrono and the like are so amazing at

yes mr strugz and mr sandy!
leg work is the way downward.

right foot fishtails coming along nicely

stick jugggle

rural parkour

i've already given up smoking (a bit off topic but relevant)

remember my circus training

maybe do trapeze again

pick up balls again

spend student loans on meeting sticky people round this country (maybe the world!)

Only one goal for me this year.

Stop dropping my lit throws (im the master unlit but a chicken sometimes lit)
Get good enough for COL 2008,
Develope my own style
Develope my own routine
Finish designing my own staff
Sell my own Staves
Get paid to perform somewhere.

and learning backwards maybe

Learning new moves.
Lighting myself on fire enough that it'll leave a scar.

No, I'm nto going to intentionally do that, it'd defeat the purpose. I need to do it ACCIDENTLY

probably the typical mtrix burn on the inside/underside of the Upper arm a couple of inches from the elbow joint.

come up with a different way of moving a stick about that looks odd and makes people go "Cripes!" or similar

learn to do a decent neckroll :-/

achievable aim: do more staff. Singles and doubles.

maybe... aim: learn some inside prayer contact (if I've got that right)

I think we call that 'caged' in this 'ere forum.

and we should be able to throw mouldy veg at you

apart from that well done on correcting that hippy

Cheers for straightening that out for me: right if I can do any caged contact by this time next year, I'll be extremely happy!

bucketloads! cos I don't have much under my belt to begin with... wait that didn't come out right... I got plenty under my belt, just not a lot of contact... damnit, that's not right either...

ignore all that...

* make halo more consistent
* learn fishtails
* learn steve - aka stop the staff from shooting straight up in the air
* whatever follows

personally engage every twirler i meet with the acclaimed philosophical question: "but what exactly is a move"

and the wider public with the "i think humans all have a deep affinity with fire" conversation.
