The problem I'm finding with video is that I can do most of those things if you gave me enough takes. Not all of them, but most of them. I guess I'll just have to be less pessimistic and assume that they can relatively reproducibly do those tricks.

What's your point? Yes, the videos are the type of thing that needs to be attempted over and over again before you get it right. Every video I've made, I've had to practice those things that I do in the video, over and over again. I guarantee the same for every one here. No one was a born performer... Seems pretty much the same thing, if you ask me... only I didn't film every attempt I made, hoping that I would get it right... Perhaps you're misunderstanding the word "takes" as practice. Obviously one needs to practice to get good. I'm less impressed by something that could easily be done by filming hours and hours of bad pool shots and just editing out the 99% of shots that miss.
If you film enough monkeys randomly typing letters you will have filmed one typing Shakespeare.
For those that miss the reference...

I love them for the art, sod how many takes it takes, they're still way better at pool and basket ball than me, this is the movies, not real life.
MCP, that basket ball one is wicked.
Those pool shots are cool too ed.
If it took them 99 attempts to get each of those shots, then wicked, respect for spending a week making that film.

HP make crap printers that break lots, (I know, I had one) Apparently they have terrible customer services. I hate the culture of call centres and bad service.
