I have to confess I was never much good at the education game. I was good at calculus, but not at calculus classes. My sympathy for those embroiled in the latter

Which reminds me, I need to find a succinct way to explain the concept of a limit (in category theory) to someone who's only vaguely familiar with the concept of a category. It's surprisingly tricky, in spite of the simplicity of the idea.

Midkiff: Yeah, pretty much sums up my feelings about police. Especially here in Seattle, the police are dicks. My favorite example from this year is a woman arrested under suspicion of prostitution threw her shoe at an officer (while she was in jail, behind bars), who responded by beating her badly enough that she had to be taken to the ICU. All of this on camera. The officer was suspended, with pay. If you ever want to cross the Seattle PD, make sure you're not black, poor, or under 30.

Hahaha that's the best! Who would donate that? I also found a pair of pants that looked like dress pants mixed with phat pants. They were like dress pants down to the knees, then it had some padding at the knees, and silver reflective material made up the rest.

The surplus place downtown here always has those, but it always has the sizes that were too small for anyone in the air force I keep hoping one day they'll get one in stock that's my size.

Taught a total poi noobie yesterday at the beach, had her doing 3 beat weave, Butterfly, TTN, Butterfly reels, corkscrew within an hour or two.

I'll claim those as part of my "awesome teacher" thing, but she's also putting some things together on her own. Was trying to do the 3 beat weave right off the bat, once I got her to step back a bit and do the two versions of the 2 beat, then she pretty well straight went into it!

She even worked out how to do the plane bend from 3 beat weave into corkscrew by turning on the spot into it.

Only 75 days til I move to the UK.
So freakin' excited!!
