Nuneaton meet , UK

Just a quick post to thank Dunc for his teaching skills yesterday and introducing me to the wonderful world of contact poi! I shall be making myself a set ASAP!

Much fun was had by all who attended the Nuneaton meet and I personally learnt a lot including those elusive hyperloops!!! Big thanks to Mel aka Gothfroggette for arranging and hosting the day. Also extra thanks again to Dunc for dishing out lots of sets of fire proof kevlar arm guards for all of us who were spinning fire that night even though he could not stay that late to play with us! They were invaluable as we could finally do arm wraps without fear!

Thought I'd say hi in this thread too. I live in Solihull so should hopefully get over to Nuneaton at some point. Just building myself a staff that will hopefully be ready soon. Oh and i'm going to Play with Pigeon Wigeon and Linden Rathen so I may see some of you there

I'm a scouser living in Coventry (I'm a minority!) so to isolate myself further I practice my poi in the park. (the locals appear threatened by pink ribbons?!?!)

I find anything pink threatening
