the video doesn't do them justice. they are much brighter and more colourful.

Thanks for your comments

Does anyone else have anything to add? The video has been watched (in and inferior form) on Youtube over a hundred times but only Jo has made any comment. Unless everyone hates it (and even then thats teaches me something) I'd be interested in peoples views and questions.

Brilliant stuff. The fire effect tails look awesome. Quick question though: what is the music in the video?

The track is Saltwater by Chicane, featuring Marie Brennan

Only managed to get the vid recently:

spinning was great, but I agree with Jo, the vid doesn't quite do them justice! although I really like the look of the hypertail thingys

only crit: Although I could see what effect you were going for with the antispin flower with the tails (the first time you see them), I'm not sure that effect worked too well. Otherwise it was a really, really good promo vid!

Guy- thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you mostly enjoyed the vid

I only really got into the slo-mo effects late on: there are several ways you can implement the effect, but to do it as well as I'd wanted would have meant learning another more complex program (now in the works) and also would have delayed the relaese but a couple of weeks. By that point I really wanted to just get it done.

In short- thanks, I agree with you

After seeing this again and seeing hyperlights IN REAL LIFE, I've decided they're cool (not bright enough to blind me on sight, which was disappointing. I appear to still have my vision intact )

Hyperlights rock, thou hyperstaffs will rock more.
