It's the UKs biggest free one day festival and it's coming to a town near you

god, i havent been there for years...ill try and gather some troops...its a good day out for sure!

I'm definitely going!! Been planning to go since last year!! We camped from the Friday till the Sunday...and there was much fun had by all.

I'll be the one selling poi and earrings! Can't wait

Oh yea one thing I would say though is not to buy ANY food till the end of the day when it's loads and loads cheaper!

Hey, actually last year there were some people doing fire poi and I hadn't ever seen it much before then, anyone know who it was? We wanted to light our...ahem...long cigarette...ahem...off the fire poi...

The people who were doing firepoi were Woody (wood2) and Lu, (neither of whom are HoPpers (any more, at least)), but they were stopped by the wardens. I was playing with aerotechs around that area too...

I should say "at least" on the end of that first sentence.

Hell yeah! I'll definitely be there, seeing as I live in Cambridge!

So it was YOU! Well, I'll be juggling this year too... so the wardens had a big problem with people spinning but not with the fact that part of the field was invaded by campers... hmmm

Well, I was there. I did lots of devilstick (mostly with my blue/white AJA glitter stick and fluorescent yellow handsticks). Did I play with anyone from HoP without realising it?

I never made it to this... altho a friend of mine last night commented on the spinners were there... i guessed it was HOPers!

last year was the first time i'd picked up a pair of poi, and this year is gonna be AMAZING!, cos 1) i'm better at poi, 2) i know you lot, and 3) i thought this needed a bump cos its just the best place on the planet.

also whoever said its been going more than 30 years was almost right, its the oldest fair in europe, around 800 years

i went last year, my first ever!!!

i had no idea what to expect (except i knew there would be no dance tent)

i had the best time ever there, soooooooooooo many stalls selling poi, staffs etc. there where even drum circles, brilliant surroundings

i would recomend it to any one.

right I'm talking to the people in charge of it about getting a poi workshop going for an hour or something. No chance of fire poi on the common. Might be able to set up on Jesus Green like bonfire nite tho.

And best of all: a big party afterwards!

This year's one is on Saturday the third of June, and is now looming ever-closer!!

there will be:
live music
spinning
all your favorite festival stalls
festival people
and lots more going on

best of all: it's totally free!! and there's usually a phat party somewhere afterwards!

The folks from Cambridge Community Circus will probably be doing some stiltwalking and juggling in the parade, but if anyone wants to get involved they're more than welcome!!
