1. Running around and playing in the front garden... especially playing house with my Wendy house and baby dolls (remember Tiny Tears?!), complete with the box of clothes (once mine) to change her into.

2. At 5, my growing collection of cuddly toys and kids books, including Poochi, Care Bears (the original!), Rainbow Brite, the Cabbage Patch Kids, My Little Pony etc. My cuddly toys often took on roles in the Wendy house.

3. My younger brothers collection of Lego (which I used to force-feed him. He never choked though, despite my dastardly efforts). I made some cool stuff, though.

4. Getting muddy. Especially by jumping in puddles beside my mum, which would then send water shooting up her leg... cos she wasn't wearing wellies

5. Jelly and icecream. And the small bar of chocolate we were only allowed once a week on a Friday night.

Oops, silly work computer...

Tis ok, I realised something else... learning to ride a bicycle. I think that was around 5.

Finally get the independence to escape from my parents. (but not getting very far on a Raleigh bike with stabilisers )

Care Bears (the original!)

The new ones are pretty ugly aren't they! One of my friends was telling me how she never had a carebear (!), I went around looking because her birthday was coming up, and in the end I bought her a preloved friendbear on ebay. Nothing like the originals! When I was 3, I had wishbear and my sister had tenderheart- they're now somewhere in Mongolia..

1) My German Shepherd Amal....RIP dawg.

2) The Greatest American Hero (G-Force Battle of the Planets nearly pipped it and I don't want all mine to be bad 80s TV)

3) 20 cent Arcade machines at the pub while my olds hung out with friends.

4) Cars - used to be a freak at recognising cars....

5) The folks still being together. Never happier times than being 5 and having the family in one piece.

COOL THREAD!

Saw someone reading this thread on "Who's Online" and just had to bump it as I didn't catch it first time around

1. My white birthday cake with blue icing and the number 5 in Cadbury's chocolate buttons

2. Pedalling my tractor behind the bar

3. Playing with next door's cat on the roof

4. Rolling in a barrel in the nursery garden

5. Going for walks with my big sister

I remember loving other things already mentioned but I don't remember having them until I was at least 6.
