Hey guys, glad to say that I am out of hospital and on the recovery!

Especially happy to find out that Pele is doing fine too.

Cheers to PK for starting the thread and major thanks to everyone for the positive vibes. Just to clear a few things up - it was smoke inhilation due to windy conditions and me being tired after a full on show (my fault, should have passed due to the conditions) which brought on double pneumonia. After a couple of weeks it was getting worse so I had some more xrays anfd tests and was re-admitted only to find out I had Guillain-Barre syndrome.

Basically, it meant most of me was paralysed for a short time and due to some very intelligent people and some rapid treatment, the whole thing is being reversed. I can stand, but walking is proving more difficult than I first thought for the moment. The prognosis is good but it will be a little time befor I am kicking PK's ass at poi in the park.

Thanks again for all your kind thoughts, ill be back causing trouble on the boards in the next month or so.

It was just at the end of the shows for a climax, was only about 1 percent of the performance anyway. Saying that, I will definately miss breathing because I still love fire. I figure I got enough on my plate with walking again, poi staff, doubles, rope dart and meteors - phew busy year ahead.

Dawny is no longer in the fire performances but I got some serious talent in her place.

Too bad about not Fire Breathing anymore. We all respect your choice, though. There are several fire eating tricks that might substitute, though they're not as finale-ish.
