Might come down next thu if I can.

I haven't touched my Poi in months and I was never very skilled to begin with so god knows what I'll be like now...and I started teaching myself Diablo three days ago

Kinda interested in having a stab at learning to use a Staff, too

great to see such a large number of slackers making the effort to meet up for a spin last night... or in true burnt toast style, doing stupid poses with glowtoys, drinking lots of cider, heckling the short one so much that he has to stop spinning! and generally being abusive. Go Toast!

Strugz and Fluffy, you were missed!

I haven't been on HoP in months... but got a copy of my local (Kingston) paper through the door last week with a familiar face on the front cover!

Nice work

hey all, i have not long been in guildford, and only started with poi last weekend after a friend who i used to live with dragged me along to give it a go... oddly enough i loved it... though i am currently using a pair of socks and some juggling balls as my poi!
Anyway, who should i speak to, call, email etc about info on the thursday meets? I would defintiely like to join in, a social atmosphere always makes learning a more enjoyable.
Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike, not sure I managed to speak to you but glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Paul/Durbs is the man to talk to. You can either PM him on here or have a look at the contacts page of www.burnttoast.co.uk for his details.

I'm still using juggling balls in socks by the way, and I've been doing it for 4 years!

Hey hey

Quick news flash

For tonight (and tonight only) - poi will be in The Star pub at the bottom of Guildford High Street from 8pm.
Larger than the Riverside centre, and I'll get some pretty lights set up too

Hope to see some of you there!

I'm actually going to stop being slack and come along this week for the first time ever! I'll be the one hovering around looking shy (although I might be dragging a friend or two along so may be a couple of us standing looking shy!)
Can't wait to meet you all and learn some new bits (and probably find out that my home-taught technique is totally weird and wrong!!)
See you soon!

howdy i have literally just discovered you lot. cant believe its taken quite so long, especially as i dont live all that far away! forgive me for not wanting to reread the whole topic :P but where do you lot meet? what exactly do you do? and would i be allowed to join you at some point? i have been spinning pretty much alone so far this summer since uni ended for the year, and its getting a little lonely : )

Check your PM's Lizzybeth.

Did you go along Kes? I couldn't make it last week but should be there this Thursday. Can't wait, if feels like I've hardly been down at all lately...

See you both soon.

Yeyup, i'll be down as well this week

If Kes came last week, that means there were at least 2 new people (plus friends) who came along

How we grow...
