Well, I guess I have been truly initiated into the fire twirling community. This weekend I got my first poi-related burn. That's right I got my first poi about 2.5 months ago and lit them up about a week later. Then yesterday morning I was outside working on improving a bunch of tricks that I know the basics of, and working on the transitions between them, twirling away to Sun Project and Fractal Glider - using the rhythm to work it all together.

About an hour or so of this with my shirt off in the sunny, 30C Adelaide weather and I got sun burned...

Hence, my first poi-related burn. Just as well that the poi weren't lit since my back was covered in sooty impact marks - I still keep it very simple when they are lit

No matter tho. I'm sure Bendy will be along in a bit to tell us all how Wag is just a dreivation of the Genus Dag. Or some such.

I think in farming terms a dag is a maggot infected piece of flesh on a sheep's arse.

but it is generally used as a friendly insult kinda like "dork", "goob", "fool" etc

dunno what a wag is

hahah I can see how calling your friend a maggot infested sheeps arse could be "friendly" insult. =)

I think i`ll try that one around here and see what my friends think... should be interesting.

Now if we can find out what a wag is...
